Hi there folks, I've just moved to Manchester after being abroad for a few years and would like to get into the Manchester scene, I'm generally up for anything and always up for pushing a boundary or two ;) so if there's any local club nights or if any of you fancy a chat, hit me up

My suggestion - despite not having looked at your profile - is to look for local events. Fetlife is good for searching for events by location.
