Today it got to a heat index 110 degrees here in Kansas, how hot did it get where your at?

I don't know about the heat index, but it got to be a sweltering 97 degrees here.  Standing outside on a break at 3:00pm was like standing in a hair dryer.  It was rather awe-inspiring.

"Here" would be about an hour and a half north-west of Philly.

ummm..... i think the temp was like 94 or something here in central PA.... my attic was about 112 i don't know about the heat index... i know that it is VERY humid here...

It's so hot Mr.T just shaved the rest of his head.
It's so hot we have to feed the chickens crushed ice just to keep 'em from laying hard-boiled eggs.
It's so hot, I saw a bird today using potholders to pull worms out of the ground.

I think I heard on the news that the high here today was 104.  Not sure what it was with the heat index.  Saw a forecase for tomorrow of 106.
 
It's awful because My air conditioner just went on the fritz.  I'm sure I'll be a much happier camper when that gets fixed and I can at least be reasonably cool in the house.

101 here in Omaha, Nebraska - it's expected to stay at the 100 degree mark all week, until Saturday at least (ICK)! I hate it and so do my doggies (they are inside, where it's cool, with me).

Was 106+ in Las Vegas today, and we actually had a bit of humidity (40%! high for us, although nothing compared to the rest of the country).  Was 112 last week, though, so I guess this is a bit better ...

it's going to be 35 degrees Celsius here today (sorry, i dunno wot that is in farenheight), but to put that in to perspective, the average tempreture in the uk in july is ment to be about 21 apparently. i think anything ova 25 is too hot[:(] tomorrow they're forecasting 37 degrees - that's the hottest tempreture EVA recorded in the uk, since 1700 and something! now who don't believe in global warming?
 
keep cool E/everybody, and please remember to drink loads of water, and slap the suncream on (ESPECIALLY on kidz), and please don't forget to make sure animals have shade and water too. thank You.

It was 96 degrees (106 heat index) at 4:00 PM, then a storm hit, and the temps dropped 20+ degrees, quickly.

My boss has to take ambient air temps, humidity things like that for a paint report on certain jobs we do.  Yesterday afternoon, at about 4:00 p.m., his reading was 101.  Our area is currently under a heat advisory, but it's already getting hotter than what they predicted.  Heat indices are supposed to run from 106 to 110 this week. Thank God for air conditioning!

A/c is working well so it is about 72. Outside yesterday it was well over 100. And the melted spot south of NY was NJ.

Yesterday the 'offical' high was 108...that was out of town on a hill where the local tv station is located. Down town it topped 112. Our heat index was well over 115...and it's supposed to be even hotter today.

If you don't like heat don't come to southwest Oklahoma.=]
