the picture loader isnt working...you might want to send a message and it (The pic) to support if you are worried by it.

DocStrange -> RE: Frightening threat! (10/24/2015 4:01:01 PM)

A threatening message on collarspace is like getting a spam phone call. Block the person and be on your merry way.

MistressVeronav -> RE: Frightening threat! (10/24/2015 4:12:03 PM)

Really because I was on collarme for several years and never received a graphic threat of rape! This wasn't a "role play" message.

You can report the message.
There is a way to do that built into every message.

ChrchofDrk -> RE: Frightening threat! (10/24/2015 4:37:35 PM)

Oh no!! Not a graphic depiction of rape!!! ... oh the horror!!!! .... might I suggest you look at some female slave profiles to get perspective

crumpets -> RE: Frightening threat! (10/24/2015 6:52:45 PM)

Having every variety of profile imaginable (most of which are simply experimental honey pots), I can safely say that almost any female profile gets inundated with graphic depictions, rape being one of the milder ones.

However, I do know, from one of my profiles, that reporting illegal activity does work. It takes about a week (or, at least in my case it did), but, the powers that be will remove the profile if you notify them. They have the power to read your mail, if you didn't know that, so, they know what was sent, and by whom.

In the specific case I'm talking about, the person created a duplicate same-name+1 profile, which the sysadmins/mods/whomever promptly removed, once I reported that also.

As for importing screen shots, I have never been able to get CS to UPLOAD an image from my hard drive. All I can get it to do is reflect an image that is elsewhere on the net by putting [IMAGE] tags around the URL. However, if the URL has funky characters, such as %20 spaces, then it generally fails to show here on CS.

If it's a screenshot that you took, you'll need to upload it to any of the many free image-hosting web sites, many of which don't need registration (e.g., tinypic.com); but I suggest you use VPN or Tor to do that (VPN generally works better because they often block Tor exit nodes). Anyone can get a free vpn in an instant (mail me and I can provide full details).

what are you trying to say crumpets, is there any risk associated with uploading to file hosting websites ? what is the difference if you proxy your uploads or use your static IP. and is a dynamic IP of any privilege in this case ? please advice.
actually other that tinything I cant seem to find a way as how to generate a permalink, I may be seeing things but i am sure I could get a permalink from picasa once.

ResidentSadist -> RE: Frightening threat! (10/24/2015 8:37:50 PM)

So you are a pro working in Phoenix with you face pic in your sex ad for outcalls. A threat can lead to follow through . . . it's not just some anonymous threat with no exposure because they can call upon you and recognize you through work. We can't see what they wrote so we have no idea if bodily harm is at stake. You really should report this as mentioned in previous replies.

Really should list your business properly an stick with pro booking services that vet their clients and follow up with security calls. Just sayin'.

Sorry about that.
I had posted to the wrong thread so I removed it but it wouldn't let me delete so I just put a period in there.
I guess I should have used a better emoticon to indicate the mistake.

usually size of the file is the biggest issue

zombiegurlsos -> RE: Frightening threat! (10/25/2015 5:51:52 AM)

Thank you for the advice.... on the free hosting sites....

Yes, but how do you know that it was not role play related. so why are you a new member if you are experienced in CS for several years....?

There are multiple privacy risks, some of which are related to the upload, and others which are not related specifically to the upload.

Unrelated to the upload itself is that all unencrypted web sites expose a glaring privacy breach, so, the first thing to consider when uploading is whether the image hosting site is encrypted. (Just look for the additional "s" in http). The second thing to consider (with all web sites) is that they SAVE your IP address (and other metadata, such as a quick visit to http://panopticlick.eff.org will reveal).

So, the first rule of thumb is never use your own IP address!

In addition, image-hosting web sites save the image meta data also, and often PUBLISH that meta data. What's in image meta data? Potentially a lot. Your EXIF information in a picture can pinpoint you down to the serial number of your camera and the GPS location of the mirror in your bathroom (almost literally). That EXIF data also reveals the original picture (even though you cropped out your grandma, there she is, in living color, STILL in your original picture!).

So, in the worst case, you upload a picture that you took from your camera, which then makes all that information available for the world at large to see. That's fine for a picture of your dog, but, if it's a kink-related picture, that could be potentially embarrassing.

There are many solutions, but the simplest solution, even when in the comfort of your own home, is to NEVER USE YOUR OWN IP ADDRESS when partaking in kink-related sites!

Instead, use VPN or TOR or a VM or Tails or whatever floats your boat, but never log in or post ANYTHING of a kink-related nature to any site that doesn't encrypt the entire communication channel (always look for the "s" in the https) and never upload an image that you haven't stripped of metadata beforehand!

crumpets -> RE: Frightening threat! (10/25/2015 7:02:39 AM)

Now that's odd. Where did those crossed-out lines come from?

Looking at the embedded code, I see that the "s" inside of a bracket seems to "strike" the text out.

Like this should.

What I had typed was that you should never post to kink-related sites that don't have an "s" next to the http, but, I had used the square brackets to set that "s" off from the http; hence everything after that was struck out.

Now I know better than to make that mistake.
