Our local Pet-smart has these on sale. I was thinking about picking one up but found that they come in various sizes, lenghs and shapes.

Is there a certian size or shape I should work for? Should I treat it as a single tail?

Inquiring minds folks.

Thanks

good question; first things first- how much room do you have to swing in your primary play space ? I luv a bullwhip but it is just not practical to use in my playspace without whacking a beam or a wall or something. Choose one which suits YOUR taste, something in the middle. Get a taste for it then see if you need to go longer or shorter. Once you get a feel for it a smaller tip seems to have more bite. I have found the same true in riding crops, the flex and length vary so much... Like any tool, you have to find the one which suits your particular craft the best....

A buggywhip is a singletail, so yes.. I would recommend treating it as such.

As far as what to work for.. it really depends on what you are trying to achieve. A short whip can be just as painful as a long one but is less likely to get caught in the ceiling fan. So...its a matter of space, style, and preference.

In general, I have learned that it is far easier and requires far less skill to cause pain with a toy. One should learn to use the most devious items of one's aresenal to caress the skin of your partner.

One of the methods I have learned that develop control with a singletail is to tie strips of toilet paper to a clothesline. Practice brushing the paper 50 strokes with the whip in one hand then switching hands for another 50 strokes. Continue this practice until you feel like your arm is about to fall off, rest for a little bit...and do it again...and again...and again. The goal is to avoid tearing the paper while building muscle memory.

Good luck,

Tack stores and pet stores are the best places to get crops and whip type things for a modest price. I paid $3.95 for a crop and saw it for sale on a BDSM site for $21. Just last Wed I was in our local fetish store and saw a doggin bat I paid $7.75 for priced at about $20. You can get the crops with the hand shaped ends for about $8, dressage whips for about $11, lunge whips for about $15, vet wrap (sticks to itself) for around $3 a roll and polo wraps for $4.

Indeed. I particularly recommend State Line Tack. I've been a happy customer of theirs for over a decade.
