Yes, I almost forgot that the 1st was just about 40 minutes ago. I do apologize for the delay but I had to finish up a baby afghan and am working on a pair of shark slippers for Lizard. Trying to get ready for Christmas is hard when one is tired most of the time and on a restrictive diet...I want some sweets!!!!!
I have been dealing with prediabetes so I am testing my blood glucose levels daily. I ordered a glucose meter on eBay with additional strips and it came with a lancing device (Yea!!!). I have a coffee can set up to keep my sharps in after poking my finger for the blood drop. Been doing it pretty good and it hardly hurts since I do the side of the finger, not the tip. Will call the doctor about getting Medicare to help pay for future purchases.
I finally got the MRI performed on my left shoulder. Nice case of osteoarthritis has set in there. They wanted to give me a steroid shot but the last one did not work out. I am going to ask the rheumy if he can drain a cyst that has developed in my left knee...it is starting to hurt from growing a bit too big.
Mom is doing okay. She has the cardiologist today, the neurologist tomorrow. She had fun at the church homecoming last month. Now is she working on jigsaw puzzles that I intended to give her for Christmas but she kinda snooped into the box of stuff that came in the mail. The blouse I got for her is too small so I give it to Lizard since she lost weight.
Nothing on the relationship side of life. Just too tired and dealing with stuffies can wear a woman down. Did nothing for Halloween except catch some Doctor Who and The Last Kingdom (avoided Rocky Horror Picture Show musical) now that we actually get BBC-America. My brother and I are devoted Whoovians., which drives Mom nuts.
