Exactly what I was going to say!  Especially when it happens repeatedly, and he never comes right back on to say "Sorry, I got booted!"   I'd bet my rent money that wifey walked in.

It's good to see you again, BTW [:)]

Now, i am aware that it could be many things: he lost connection, phone rang, etc.; however, baring those things, it disappointed me when He stopped responding.  Does being a submissive or slave mean one cannot expect common courtesy?  Am i not worth a simple "i need to run"?  (Ok mini rant over).  :)

So many things can come up on one end or the other of an ongoing IM that it doesn't do anything but invite insanity trying to read intentions into things like a person dropping offline without a word.
My own personal circumstance is such that I might close a screen to deal with a business problem such as a person coming into my office and things snowball.  If I don't get back then, most I talk with know that I'll be back eventually, even tho it might not be for days at rare times.  If things are so fragile that such things cause problems, it's better to know sooner than later.

No, but it does mean that you do not set the parameters of the relationship.

His wife or girlfriend walked in.

You deserve what you tell yourself you deserve.

Yes, in general, someone you are already referring to as "the One" would be considered someone you could reasonably expect a goodbye from, especially if that's the behavior they've expressed in the pawst.

However, I wouldn't be anything more than mildly concerned if they did a disappearing act online- though if I were calling them "the One" I'd simply call them up on their phone and make sure everything was ok.

Why didn't you do that?  And how many red flags do you need before you stop putting so much into the situation?

LOL, I was going to say that his wife walked in on him too!
