chattelmansub -> BDSM lifestyles and cultural and religious differences. (11/10/2015 10:03:20 AM)

I have often given thought to BDSM and any cultural are religious differences prevailing in its practice! How does a devout Jewish Woman handle s Muslim submissive are a Devote Christian cope with the negative stigma of religious bigotry? There are so many permutations of the theme. What have others experienced in their relationships with other cultures and religious dogmas that have hindered relationship progression?

I have often given thought to what color the dark side of the moon is myself!

WickedsDesire -> RE: BDSM lifestyles and cultural and religious differences. (11/11/2015 9:12:10 AM)

The moon has no dark side it is simply tidally locked and goes through the same day/eve cycle as we do - A tidally locked body takes just as long to rotate around its own axis as it does to revolve around its partner. This causes one hemisphere constantly to face the partner body. Usually, only the satellite is tidally locked to the larger body.

Your thread I have no idea what you are asking – so perhaps ask one thing at a time rather than applying generic/untrue statements to each religion

I have given no false statement here, are anywhere else in the universe! I have not even mentioned religion.

When are you going to learn to type in sensible/understandable English/American??

It has already been pointed out to you that the word you need is OR, not ARE!

For someone who claims to be American (Texas) with dual (note 'dual', not duel) British nationality, you sure are uneducated.

Oh, and btw, multiple socks aren't supposed to post on the same threads let alone argue with themselves.

Yes you did - it was in your opening post, under another sock.

LadyPact -> RE: BDSM lifestyles and cultural and religious differences. (11/11/2015 10:03:34 AM)

No, you haven't, because you haven't done it before.

The fact that you hide under various screen names tells me so, and frankly, I can't do this anymore. Your behavior sickens me.

I did it. I did it for two and a half years. What do you want to know?

Bunnicula -> RE: BDSM lifestyles and cultural and religious differences. (11/11/2015 11:28:18 AM)

I dated a Christian once. I'm an atheist.

We simply discussed the issues and agreed that:

I say 'for fuck's sake!' not 'for God's sake!'

I shouted his name and not OHMYGODDDDD!!! when I came.

While he was at church on a sunday I would watch porn and drink beer.

Talking to each other made life a lot simpler.

DesFIP -> RE: BDSM lifestyles and cultural and religious differences. (11/11/2015 12:31:36 PM)

Why on earth would someone start a relationship with someone where there were irreconcilable differences?

Obviously, you wouldn't if you had any sense. If you can't discuss and come to an agreement as the bunny did, then you don't get into such a relationship.

The fact that you both like kink means nothing. There's no difference with religious differences or political differences or cultural divides. Or age or height or weight. Or having differences in kink.

Intelligent people make sure there's more in common than not.

That's right sock it to me! I will not take the bait so you are flogging a dead horse. You also put two and two together and make six and seven eights.

On the other hand, I was once very entwined with an atheist.

Yes, it felt weird when he would scream "oh, God".

Some of the best time I ever had in my whole life.

Sometimes the best relationships are built upon differences, but held together by mutual respect, open minds and lots of discussion and compromise

Oh, and great sex too [:D]

If you missed the story, someday, I will tell you the happenings about the 'neighborhood for orgy noises'.

Kana -> RE: BDSM lifestyles and cultural and religious differences. (11/11/2015 2:28:17 PM)

I don't think she has to have the same religious perspective I do (Because when you get down to brass tacks, most people, even with the same religion often have different ideas re God and their interaction, often very different POV) but I have found that there has to be common base values for long term to last.

Tried it a few times before with others that had vastly different value systems than me and yeah, that didn't really work.

I've fooled around with people of all ilks, including once a Hasidic Jewish Girl (No sex, but got terrific backrubs and great Hummers) but I do least well with militant aetheists.

I'm an atheist and I avoid hooking up with religious folks.

It would have to take a very non-religious religious person to work with me.

I had a few really seemingly good compatibility with Christian Americans, until, we talk about kids and whether they should attend church. And I said NO, and they said, their kids are definitely going to church. Then it's over! Just cannot work.

OK. It's kind of long, though.

If you remember, when MP and I moved from GA to CA, I had my heart set on going to meet Mnb. Sxxxx had been talking to me about teaching him wax.

So, Sxxxx have bought this big, five pound block of wax. We busted it up to put in the pot. It took forever to melt.

Finally, sometime after nine, I start teaching him about wax. He had one of his gals and I had the other. (The one I was told would never sit still for this.)

You never saw a chick react like that. She moaned, screamed, and was quite vocal.

At something like 10:05, the cops came to the door. "Mr. XXXXXXXX, this isn't the kind of neighborhood for orgy noises after 10:00 PM."

I put the orgy noises story into all of my wax classes. "It's all fun and games until the cops show up" ya know?

Fast forward, years later. Tk and I had an incredible night. Play, drinks, snacks, sex. Best D/s sex I'd ever had.

The three of us are sitting to breakfast. I said something about the amount of noise I make.

Without missing a beat, tk comes up with this comment...

"At least you found the neighborhood where it's ok to be making orgy noises after 10:00 pm."
