I remember then that the MODS were able to get this guy to go bye-bye. Were they able to do that because they have access to blocking users IP numbers? I cant remember. But seriously, this obnoxious poster has serious mental health issues and someone needs to put a cork in him.
I don't remember any names but then I usually remember avatars better than names (something to do with being mildly dyslexic, I think). I remember an avatar, in black and white, depicting man in sunglasses, playing cards. That guy was a serious douchebag, IIRC. But even if I am wrong, it doesn't really matter. After the site went down last night I had time to think.
It is unfortunate that the powers that be seem unable to handle the situation. I am not a techie by any stretch of the imagination so I'll just continue to hope that they do resolve their technical issues (INCLUDING THE PICTURE LOADING ISSUE, DAMMIT!!!!! Just thought I'd bring that up again), eventually.
In the meantime, what can the rest of us do? We are clearly dealing with an ego so self absorbed that it is threatening to suck itself into its own asshole, implode, and achieve a state of pure narcissistic nirvana . . . if it hasn't already. In short we are dealing with a bully.
It is tempting to have some fun at such a bully's expense, to bait them and watch them froth, but there are limits. Everyone lets their anger get the best of them now and then, But if people do not show signs of cooling off, of perhaps sheepishly admitting that the crossed a line, then we are dealing with seriously damaged psyche.
In those circumstances, the best thing the rest of us can do is ignore the troll. Attention is what they feed upon so when attention is cut off they will (after ramping up the psychotic raging for a while) wander away in search of new feeding grounds. I know it is not always easy when someone seeks to deliberately push our buttons but it is the most effective remedy.
Of course, if we want to be really mean, we will continue to talk about him (he really is a fascinating psychological study) without actually talking to him. I'll have to think about that some more.
On a completely unrelated issue, did you know that a man's actual penis size compared to his boasted size has a direct correlation to his anger level at the time of the boast? It seems that a man who is not angry or only mildly irked will "increase his size" by by only an inch or so. Angry men are known to double their sizes and men who are in psychotic rages over their own impotence in life will quadruple it. For example: If the boast is eight inches then:
Irked man = seven inches.
Angry man = four inches.
Psychotic raging man = two inches (which may explain the psychotic rages).
Whatever. Just an interesting factoid I thought I'd mention.
