ilovestarbucks -> Do You Believe That Most Domme Profiles Are Fake? (11/18/2015 9:03:21 AM)

I attend several munches and I hang out with a group of people who are into BDSM. There are dominant men and women and submissive men and women.

I prefer to meet someone around my age. I'm 20 years old and going to college.

When I talk with the Domme's on this site they are completely different than the ones I meet in real-life. By the way, I only correspond with them via email. They tend to be very "bitchy" and demanding. As if they are pissed off in life.

In any case, the few I've chatted with seem fake. I get the impression I'm actually talking to another guy on the other end.

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this? In particular, women who are 18 -23-years old.

It's not relegated to women that list themselves as Dominant. This site is like any other free dating site - there are "Catfish" profiles trying to get some scam on. The clue is the age group you listed, no preferences, an impossibly hot photo and willing to talk to men below their grade.

Just use common sense and it becomes pretty obvious.

Missokyst -> RE: Do You Believe That Most Domme Profiles Are Fake? (11/18/2015 9:40:41 AM)

just an observation here, but yea it is easy to fake online, less so in person.
I would opt to continue going to munches so you can meet people locally. And if you can join a TNG group which is for your age range.
For some reason online domination involves a lot of pretense, and on both sides of the sexes from what I have seen.
If I get one more guy on the other side continue to press me to call them sir... lol [sm=violent-smiley09.gif]

Munches are the avenue I would recommend time and time again if looking for a D/s relationship. Sure, I met my owner on a more vanilla dating site (OK Cupid) but I was lucky in that it worked out - I prefer to resort to offline methods of getting to know new people for that sort of thing, than online.

I cannot possibly comment snowflake the moderator has me awaiting approval for exposing malevolent troublemakers who have interest in disrupting all threads but their own!

The OP did not state they want only the opinions of those 18-23, that is simply the age range they're seeking in a partner.

@OP, not all of the bitchy youngins will be men, but the ones who aren't are most likely here because they heard they could make money from desperate male subs and are trying to emulate the horrid personality they're told is what these men want. Just like there are sites telling men about the magic that is female submissives, who supposedly only live to sexually please the men around them in any way those men want, there are sites telling women there's easy money to be made from sticking up some photos flipping the bird and talking about how superior they are. Overall it's a lot of bullshit, but there's just enough incredibly damaged men and women out there who will indeed do what these sites say that the myth of all sub females being sluts and all male subs being desperate persists.

munches are the best bet to actually meet some one there are fakes and those that only want your money if they do not meet your expectations then ignore them and move on I found my owner online and am very happy with her.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Do You Believe That Most Domme Profiles Are Fake? (11/18/2015 1:59:48 PM)

Define real/fake/genuine, and best you do it to my liking with 100% accuracy, and I will not visit you with my allegorical rusty knobkerrie.

If you go to all these wonderful munches with not one fake(that word gets me into trouble so often and when you tell them to look at a fuking dictionary and read its words – they just ban you..Because, in the main they fill that criteria and the cliques slobbering, baying for nonsense) in attendance – why so hard up then?

These sites and their owners do not give a fukery about even 5% of their userbase being genuine, full of integrity and cake

Because man pays for them all – be it a membership fee or adventure.

More that half are guys and they just want your money or to wank over you..the women are no better

Listen to them all slobber less than 0.01% of these sites have ever attended a munch or club and 90% of them who have are attached and do not seeks a wee stallion like thee to beast

I never said there wernt any honest people on these places...but legally you can adopt a part female persona, lurks deep within thee, create a profile add in shag all pictures and no text and you will get more mail and profile views in one day than you will in a whole year being a he.

I wish to be clear I am not looking...I merely feel sorry for anyone genuine looking..you got the benefit of the doubt from me as you attempted a profile with pictures.
You will find most real women here are attention whores (they have found their niche where they are in vast demand often from the useless and fakes_ and frothing widely of the mouth for witless attention - why most real women do not last a week on these places.

Since this is at least your second mention of interacting with "bitchy demanding" types, I have to wonder what you're doing to attract this behavior. Seems like you'd be able to detect the attitude in a woman's profile. Are you initiating contact based upon location and images? Are they initiating contact and going from 0 to bitch in 60 seconds?

NookieNotes -> RE: Do You Believe That Most Domme Profiles Are Fake? (11/19/2015 1:57:41 PM)

As someone said, it's not just domme profiles.

MANY profiles are fake.

And you know what? That's OK. Because many of these people are just playing online. If you want real, take a bit of time. Or... as you already know... go to munches.

I do all of the above. I've met amazing people from Collarspace. I met my long-term Pet at a social. I think it's really about your temperment and what you're willing to put up with. I find Collarspace amusing, so I don't mind the fakes.

focalss -> RE: Do You Believe That Most Domme Profiles Are Fake? (11/19/2015 7:29:51 PM)

A lot of the profiles are fake but a lot are just not looking for the same things. The biggest problem I think is the pros or those seeking to be paid for sex here. The second biggest problem is that you can't filter out people in a relationship, married, pro or tag them so they can be filtered.

The break ins of Ashley Madison and Alt were hysterical. I think close to 1 % or less were single women looking for men. Ashley Madison created fake profiles "for entertainment" and somehow had fake people chatting through those profiles from what I read. I don't know how they had bots or something chatting with some of the members but it hooked them and they kept on falling for it.

I don't believe munches are really any easier to meet "real" people. People go to those events for many different reasons mostly looking not to find someone but to share there interest or talk about it. I was at one or two, and see groups but they are like looking for activity partners.

I actually believe this site is a lot better than Fet. Most of the women on fet from my experience are looking for pals, activity friends, not relationships. They are looking to socialize and the site is geared to 'friend' not searching for a relationship where this site is better at that but it is hard to find compatible people.

There are sites where you can find people but it is very difficult if you are just tied to one particular interest whether it be bdsm or dogs or cats or ballet or ballet or what ever.

There are waaaaay more catfish than trout in this pond.

But a few of the trout are with fishing for.

LadyBerry -> RE: Do You Believe That Most Domme Profiles Are Fake? (11/21/2015 8:58:12 PM)

I'm going to add my voice to the others telling you to keep going to munches. The friendships and connections you form in the local community will reap dividends! Most of my past subs I met through other Dommes who met them at munches, and played matchmaker.

I got a few mails this week from "Dommes" in the Philippines.
Heh heh ... I played along ... and, yeah, they got demanding pretty quickly.
So, I went along and said I sent the money.
They're still waiting for it! :)

The best hint is that they're not within 25 miles of where you live.

There are only three things you can do when a so-called "Domme" contacts you out of the blue from further away than is practicable.

1. Become friends with them (this only works for the real Dommes), or,
2. Play with them (this works with the fake Dommes).
3. Ignore (block, hide) them (that works also, but it's not as much fun).

Well, all "my" Domme profiles are certainly fake.
But, they're just passive honey pots.
So you're not talking about them.

But, yeah, 90% of the profiles here are not what they purport to be.
Your best primary filter is simply distance.

Let me ask you a question - for which I want you to answer honestly.
These "Dommes" you're mailing ... how FAR are they from your locale?

Yes, I'd say so, ilovestarbucks. As a general rule a 'real' femdom won't lead with her best dommy bossiness. She won't demand that you call her 'Mistress' or 'Lady', and won't treat you like you're scum. Instead, she'll want to get to know you in a vanilla - that is, human - way.

Myself, I've found that sometimes - only sometimes, mark you - if you ignore all the Mistressy-you're-a-worm stuff, and instead talk to her in a friendly way as an ordinary woman, she'll respond likewise. There are femdoms out there who are good women who want good men, but don't know quite how to approach it all. Not altogether surprising, of course: it must all feel just as weird and bizarre to young and newbie femdoms as it feels to young and newbie malesubs. But, to be honest, I'd say such types are relatively uncommon. If she hits you with the instant 'I'm a Goddess-you're-scum' thing - she'll more than likely be looking for a financial and professional relationship, or she'll be a fake.
