"What do the protestors want? " I'd say they want what MLK wanted... Given the execution of a black youth in Chicago by a racist white cop (covered up by the police dept and other cops), in which the video of the execution was made public (a year later) only cuz of a whistle blower telling a journalist.. I'd say things havent changed much since MLK was executed by a white supremacist.. [8\|]

As long as they are taking money from taxpayers...some liberal, some conservative...they owe a place for an invited speaker to be heard. If you, as a student, do not like a speaker's point of view, don't go. If you, as a student, don't like another student's point of view, walk away and don't listen. But don't pull the namby-pamby, daycare bullshit of "need a safe space", "need a trigger-warning".

I there is some irony there. the article claims that some students made innuendo and impugnation afore the fact, much like nutsuckers do consistently. Then someone sometime later makes a facebook page. And the nutsuckers afore the fact of any discussion topic claim that the underground nutsuckerism is necessary because. because because. And the fucking debate came off anyway. much asswipe for nothing.

So, At Theory, Republicans don't want to hear what Democrats say at their convention or Democrats don't want to hear what Republicans say at their convention, that we can get the world opposed together with a huge amount of amps and speakers blasting away at 10000 dB and air raid sierens and make so much noise that they can't be heard, that is cool except for the local noise violation and blood running from their ear drums. All because we really don't have freedom of speech.

He was booed and shouted down off the stage by protestors who didn't want to hear what he had to say. That's fine but there were others that did. Again, if you don't like what someone has to say, leave. Respect others who DO want to hear what someone has to say. If someone can bring in a case of conservative students at a taxpayer-funded university pulling the same crap on a liberal speaker, I'd say the same thing.
