Status: offline 		I am new to the "Happy Whatever Doesn't Offend You" movement.
I love the movement, and will be getting a T shirt soon.

We live in an era, in which you pretty much can't say anything that someone won't be offended by.
It's really boring and sickening, and sucks the joy out of many things.
I grew up enjoying comedians like Richard Prior, Eddie Murphy, John Belushi, Redd Foxx, Denis Leary, Phyllis Diller, Monique, Kim Wayans,'etc.
Most are/were so deliciously NON politically correct.

Oh hell, you can't talk and laugh at anyone these days, even yourself, without someone getting offended and getting their panties in a bunch.
I often enjoy politically incorrect comedy.
I need to enjoy it, before one day it is banned, and I will have to listen to it in secret in a closet.
Thank GOD for comedians and comedy shows, which I enjoy now more than ever.

Happy Whatever Does not offend you to those that are not offended, by pretty much anyone whose opinion does not match your opinion.
Soon you won't be able to breathe without offending someone.
Time to find some Amy Schumer tonight, I like her.

Status: offline 		For once I agree totally with Kirata *smile*............................basically because I can't STAND all the PC bullshit and I would wish everybody in sight a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS out of sheer protest.

I don't like Christmas though, so my T-Shirt will read "BAH !!!. Humbug !!!"

Status: offline 		I used to teach kids how to swim, and I usually said merry Christmas at first, but then realized that a lot of my students were Muslim or Indian and didn't celebrate Christmas. That's when I switched to saying happy holidays, because I didn't want these kids to feel like they were being excluded. Saying happy holidays isn't about being PC, to me it's more about not being arrogant to assume the other person celebrates the same holidays or has the same religion as you do, so why would I want to merry Christmas to someone who doesn't obviously celebrate Christmas? Seems like a waste of air when happy holidays gets the point across much better and with less confusion.

Funny, but most of these things come out of the United States, the supposed beacon of telling it how it is and ignoring group behaviour.

Gotta say this whole: "happy season" or whatever is plain ridiculous.

What's not to like about Christmas?! Money in your back pocket, no work, friends and family having a beer with you, eating as much food as you can get down your gullet and classic films from 1950 on the television.

And, it is: "Merry Christmas" - fuck all that happy seasons bollocks.

Do you realise that these other cultures don't give the first shite about us celebrating Christmas and it really wouldn't offend them one bit?

It's the same old trying to find a cause in life when there ain't an issue.

I do agree that the people who go with these things deem themselves to be liberals, but I also think it is a peculiarly American form of Liberalism: after all the United States is the home of Political Correctness - it was born there.

I'm a liberal and believe me I also value tradition and Christmas is a tradition that I value more than many.

I don't think they necessarily are liberals, no more than some people here who would like to be conservatives but when you read their posts nothing of what they have to say has much in common with Conservatism.

Yep Im such a hate filled person against christians, no, Im not what I am against is people insisting this time of year is ONLY a christian holiday and its been eroded, its NOT, and no where CLOSE to being close to the problems with poverty and the war on women.

Yep the war on women ends up getting real live living people killed in shootings, women inducing their own abortions in texas because they have closed down any other option for NOT wanting to be a mother. The war on poverty has been blown up by your own party at every stop, your "side" wont even allow the 9/11 first responders act (zodroga bill)thru. ignore that veterans are dying every day into the thousands by suicide, kick people off welfare. All the while Licking the arses of anyone who spouts you can ban a religion.
Who is the enemy to christian values???

Status: offline 		If someone of another religion wished me a merry day on their religious holiday I would thank them and try to have a merry day... why would I be offended just because i am of a different religion?..Yes Happy Holiday is PC... It may not be a Holiday for them either... but who cares?

I am not offended by what you typed {this time}.
I dont get offended because someone is not politically correct, I am rarely politically correct, and I am hardly a crowd follower.
I get offended by people who say things I find offensive, which has zero to do with being politically correct.
