It most definitely is an issue for the dnc.....i doubt it will hurt him personally. People i have talked to have started a petition to pis off the dnc.

Aside from his staff being caught as some sort of internal, would-be cyber Plumber(s), (nick name given to Nixon's gang of guys seeking out DNC materials, a cache of which were at the Watergate hotel) I thought Bernie was an independent encroaching into the dem game of 'Talking Heads for Pres.'

I don't mean to denigrate our oh so hallowed democratic process, [sic] but 'the people' will not choose the next presidential nominees. The bankers, industrial elites and MIC will. The only real fear in the establishment, is that Trump could thus become the next Romney or worse...Perot.

Bernie and most others of any real import, have already been sufficiently marginalized.

i meant to add earlier, imagine if the reverse were true---that a Hillary staffer was caught doing the same with sanders' campaign material...its hard to imagine the dnc responding to her in the same way...

And I'm seeing that we could easily have 4 major Presidential candidates on the ballot. Once Trump loses the nomination to Cruz, he isn't going to just back down. And Bernie was an independent anyway.

That scar is kinda fun, actually. Just a slight texture difference, but very sensitive in a happy way.

This damn gallbladder surgery wasn't nearly as traumatic, but the drugs aren't as good, and the pain is still as intense. But only when I'm breathing. And fuck laughing.

we have a tendency because of ross perot, and recently Donald trump, to think only of 3rd party candidates taking votes away from republicans and thereby causing a democrat to win.

its hard to imagine, if Hillary wins the nomination, that sanders would go it alone, knowing he'd be more or less splitting the left's votes and giving the election to the republicans.

i like to think that pragmatism would trump, no pun intended, personal desires and that the "shunned" person in each case would bow out gracefully. as for trump, i can see him, despite what he said at the beginning of the debates about not running a third party campaign, actually doing so. im not nearly as acquainted with sanders, but i wouldn't think he would.

that's unfortunate and i suggest you might be looking in the wrong places, or at least have too much attention or emphasis on the bad places that pale in comparison to the good. if you wanna have some conversation about it, id love to, send me a pm...

I think that's a part of my point from my 2nd post, that there's a discrepancy between the way they would be treated and the implied explanation for it is the dnc strongly favors one over the other.

The progressive outrage over the DNC’s decision dominated national news coverage from Friday morning to late evening. A MoveOn petition launched early Friday morning gained over 250,000 signatures in less than 24 hours. A similar petition by Robert Reich — former Secretary of Labor for the Bill Clinton White House — also went viral. Bernie Sanders’ campaign also launched a petition demanding the DNC restore access to the voter file, in addition to taking the DNC to court over the matter.

The snafu began when Josh Uretsky, former national data director for the Sanders campaign, noticed a security breach in NGP VAN, the software responsible for managing the infrastructure of Democratic campaigns. While NGP VAN was installing a patch, internal voter models from other Democratic campaigns were briefly available to one another for a 40-minute window.

Uretsky made copies of the data models and shared them with 3 separate usernames on the Sanders campaign’s NGP VAN account. Uretsky, who was later fired by the Sanders campaign, told MSNBC he knew what he was doing could be tracked in an audit and maintained that he did so with the intent of showing what data belonging to the Sanders campaign could potentially be accessed by the Clinton campaign when reporting the bug to NGP VAN and the DNC.

The DNC’s controversial move will likely be a topic at tomorrow night’s Democratic presidential debate in Manchester, New Hampshire. Sanders will be debating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley Saturday evening at 8 PM Eastern.

This is precisely another Watergate.

Think about Watergate and how useless the whole ordeal was. Some operatives, connected to the President bugged an office of the opposing party. First off all, I already assumed they were doing the same to him because this is politics, the only thing dirtier than business. It is a matter of who got caught.

But you impeach Nixon because you THINK he ordered this during the times the tapes were erased. Got any sense at all ? A person who "bugs" himself taping every conversation he has in the oval office is trying to hide something ? First thing, logic, if you want to do crooked shit, the fucking LAST THING you want is a tape recorder in the office when you are discussing it. The fact that he turned it off was what fucked him over.

Bottom line, he never should have turned it on. He was a gambler and actually financed his campaign with poker winnings. He had a big problem with Jews and Israel, and they got him. (they got Clinton too, just not as bad)

But his mind told him that there would be problems and he should record everything FOR HIS OWN PROTECTION. Personally I would have told the court "Fuck you, I was never required to take those tapes of the conversations and therefore they are my own personal possesions and you cannot have them". Tough shit.

Seriously - "Those are my tapes made on my tape machine so go fuck yourself". From the gitgo. But the pressure came. And the fact is if he never released the tapes, there would be no Watergate scandal. And if he never MADE the tapes, there would be no Watergate scandal.

But now, when the government does things to us, spying n shit, things we could sue them for back then and we accept now, you can expect Sanders to come out of this unscathed.

And you should. Fuck it. Morals, right and wrong, those things mean nothing now. Maybe they never did and I just got through finding that out. I don't give a fuck.
