Hello I call myself Varlet, so I add this to the hello here I am *waving silly* at the forum for being able to add a profile to the endless queue of sub men who dream about a Dominant female. (Fat chance!)

Weird interest list on this site, I could not find a single mention among the interest for Latex or Leather for example. Did I miss something, no? Lol - really?
I mean this is a BDSM site isn't it?

Anyway, I am a monogamous single guy that lives in a corner of Europe.
I have had a part time of this, and it was all good, er not all. She were a loving sadist, so at times she really had me squirm.
My professional career got in the way at the time though, and I ended up in a situation when either choice felt like the wrong one. Perhaps I hoped she would yield to mine, my mistake! Never let a Domme out of such a matter.

Anyway I decided to add my ad since I intend to end my professional career in the near future - a year or two perhaps - and look into the possibility of starting another, that of sub / slave.

It's a hard world out here, now lets see if there might be a match.
If not I will not worry. I've been there and it was a very good - though sometimes very painful episode of my life. ;)

Leather and latex are personal preferences, some are fine indulging in BDSM without the fashion choices ;)

Haha, its not about "fashion" LadyConstanze, in the part of the BDSM world I have been it's very much an integrated part.
Some exceptions, but very monochrome ones. If the kink community have any fashion sense for textile clothing I think we should see a bit of variation than just black jeans and black tee.

Seriously, lots of people have a BDSM lifestyle without leather and latex and lots of people like leather and latex and have no interest in BDSM

LC is correct.
Unless you are into leather and/or latex, those are not 'usually' part of the BDSM scene per se and certainly is just no more than a fashion.

There is the old-school Leather community which is a different ball of wax.
Lady Pact is one on here that can tell you all about the Leather community.
But to claim that BDSM is just that small community shows that you've either been fed some BS, or you've only seen that side of things, or you've been away from the kink world for 2 or more decades.
The leather scene is just a small sub-set of the BDSM world, not the other way round.

Yes, it's a very nice intro. Much better than most. Welcome to the forums.

No, you didn't overlook anything. Not all fetishes are on the interest list and leather as a lifestyle isn't mentioned at all. I think when they were first starting up, they didn't think all interests were necessary. I've always thought it was odd but their choice, of course.

Since FD mentioned it, here in the States, you do find (at least) two kinds of folks under the leather thing. There are leather fetishists and Leather people. The latter are those of us who consider things like community, education, and a way of life that we tie into WIITWD as an alternative way. If you stick around the forums, you'll hear some of us bring it up from time to time.

You understood me well there.

Yes there's rubber fetishists without the BDSM part, as there are people of leather who does not fit the mold of any camp. Yet certainly do fit with the WIITWD group who very well could have a profile on a site like this one.

So thank you for the pat on the back there, for a while I almost got confused here when no less than 2 tried to advocate the BDSM community and leather lifestyle as a "fashion choice" - lol

Sorry for waking my old thread. But...

In my first post I said 'fat chance' on the prospect of finding one Dominant female here.
Well I got proven wrong, and it was even one who were found on this site, she listed as 'switch' .
I have to say my predictive ability were quite off.

So I add this post as a reminder to those who are still looking, don't give up hope.
You might actually find what you look for, if you just try and show your best side.

Well I thought the patrons and users of the site deserved to be told.
I lurked around for a bit and did indeed note that some complained on how hard it was to find someone.
I assumed that some people have a bit of a problem on their approach to the one they have an interest for.
Yet in my case I also made the comment since I knew this site primarily got members from North America.

In my case I did not show anything than the everyday regular confident me, though at that point I had no idea on which direction she were leaning - I have a hunch switches most often have a leaning in one direction or other.
Well mail and chat did not resolve that matter, it took until our first actual meeting face to face to find out, and it turned out she were quite more inclined for the dominant side. That my princess/Empress also got a strong fetish for latex, corsets and leather made it a match made in heaven.

Did I spend a lot of time finding her? No, it was the third person I had a mail exchange with. And that out of about 10 profiles I studied.

So we're moving together, and after having our first, though quiet argument about money, we've decided there should be no more such.
And I take the time to make this little diversion from the actual subject since there often appear to be financial transactions involved in sub-male / Female dominant affairs and relationships.
I'd like to point out that we resolved that matter by deciding to have a completely separate economy.
Where she'll move to my place and are about to find a day job here, which will involve a bit of commuting on the local train, but that I as part of being her 'sex slave' will pay for her equipment and the tools of torture.

She have made a firm demand on me though, and that is marriage, if all things work out as planned there will be a church wedding in 2017.
