I was very sad to see that yesterday afternoon. There are some great stories about Lemmy from the Rainbow that always made me chuckle.

I was talking to a friend who also was a journo and compared memories, he was an original...

I remember him proudly showing off some of the most awful Cowboy boots I've ever seen, they were baby blue, and he told me they cost several K, my face must have given me away, because he started chuckling "I got much worse ones" and showed up with freaking white Cowboy boots, also handstitched, I tried to smile and pretend to be impressed but it didn't work very well, he started laughing and went "It takes a lot of style to have consistently bad taste, I consider it an art form..." Shit and that flat near the Rainbow, rent controlled and all that but it would have put any horder to shame, I think emptying ashtrays or throwing out empty JD bottles (he called it rocket fuel) just wasn't on the agenda.

Can't say I was a huge fan of his music but of the man, and there were a bunch of calls today with "Shit, can you believe Lemmy is gone?"

Thankfully not, bell bottoms that wide that I thought he must have bought them in a vintage store and trying to convince me to drink a water glass full of JD, when I said I'd be out cold, he did a really funny eyebrow wiggle. He had some stories to tell, but to be honest, he struck me as a guy who I might trust with my wallet, certainly not with booze or drugs, but not the kind of guy who'd screw you over for a quick buck. Friends told me about his fondness for cut off shorts and apparently he had some mishaps when parts of him needed rearranging as apparently he also believed in wearing the male version of bikini briefs.

I think a good inscription on his gravestone would be "He never minced his words", seriously, it was kinda refreshing to meet somebody who really didn't give a fuck, you couldn't help but like the guy (or the wart with the guy)

it totally sucks he passed. I saw a meme on facebook that said "there is no rest in peace, where ever he is, all hell was broken loose after about five minutes of his arrival"
