Love Me Tender by Elvis Presley....Gawd, I'm ancient, LOL.  I had a hunch it would be something by him...he was all the rage back then.

house of the rising sun -- the animals -- one of my favorite songs! 

(and in the uk -- the #1 song was the kinks's "you really got me" -- another fav)
