As promised, in "my" area (which I'll consider Silicon Valley, and not the Greater San Francisco Bay Area) we're probably lucky, in that we have almost always had a local dungeon and lots of munches (I think munches were invented here, in Palo Alto, if I remember correctly). Currently the local dungeon is the South Bay Spot (973 Park Avenue, San Jose, California 95126), but it used to be Edges in Santa Clara (run by Alex and Allie in years past) very near the San Jose Airport, and before that, a place in Newark off of 880 whose name escapes me (an old timer may be able to reinvigorate my memory). In addition, we have a plethora of periodic local munches, most notably the weekly Southern Cross Munch, which used to on Friday afternoons in Campbell but which moved to Coco's in Sunnyvale a while ago; and there is the weekly Wednesday Palo Alto Munch, which, despite the name, is no longer in Palo Alto, but also in Sunnyvale, at the Denny's at 311 Mathilda Avenue; and there is always the venerable First-Monday-of-the-Month San Jose Munch, which used to be at a Pomodoros, and now it's at the Dennys in San Jose at First and Brokaw. There are also a few less-well-known periodic meeting groups such as the SoBad & D/s Discussion Groups (South Bay Discussion group) which meets the second & third Sunday of every month at Coco's Bakery Restaurant, 1206 Oakmead Parkway Sunnyvale. On the FemDome side, there are a few local groups that meet sporadically, such as the Silicon Valley FemDom/masculine sub Munch, and the just-as-sporadic LiP/s (Ladies in Power Over Subs Munch which used to meet at the Sonoma Chicken in Campbell (but I don't know where it meets now, and it isn't worth finding the link to make it easy for you to find it 'cuz the link will just get dropped). Lastly, there are pay-for-fetish decidedly non-prostitution houses on the way up to (but well before) San Francisco, most notably The Backdrop Club near the Costco just off of 101 in Mountainview, and, The Gates across the bridge from San Francisco, in Oakland. EDIT: Damn. Aauurrgh! I lost ALL the perfect links I painstakingly added for each event, to make it easier for folks to click to find them. Jesus. Can the clearly inept (or, maybe just volunteer high school kids?) CS computer staff make it ANY HARDER to post a decent response? (It's really not worth trying to post decently.)
