We have heard what is the kink like in your town. For those of us who do not have an active kink scene in our home town, we must travel to find out kink. If you do this, where do you go to find your kink?

I guess I should really rename that to what towns have a BDSM scene. These are places I have gone in actively participated in the scene there.

Ft Lauderdale Florida – If you have a rubber fetish you will not find a bigger scene anywhere in the USA. Look of Fetish Factory monthly and special event parties
Indianapolis, Indiana
Columbus, Ohio
Atlanta, Georgia – Look for the Underground scene

Toronto, Canada

Guangzhou, China – go to know where to look.

Frankfurt, Germany
Dusseldorf, Germany – Lots of leather rubber and medical fetish here. Best medical scene I have ever done was here.
Koln, Germany
The Hague, Holland

Manchester, England
Leeds, England
Sheffield, England

Sau Palo, Brazil
Mexico City, Mexico

Out of all the countries I tend to prefer Germany and England. The dungeons tend to be well stocked with equipment and very professionally run. Not to mention most Dommes and in both those countries enjoy rubber fetish.

So if you travel to enjoy the BDSM scene where do you go?

I didn't always live in the mecca of kink. I've done my share of traveling.

I'll agree with Atlanta. They have several cons a year where you can be with other kink folk.

Believe it or not... Bakersfield.

Denver! If you have one kink vacation? Go to Thunder in the Mountains.

Folsom. Go for the Fringe. Stay for the Fair. It will be the best time you ever spent.

Posters may be aware of cities with active kink communities that wouldn't get mentioned in the other thread because no one actually lives there. This one is more about places to go if you are looking for action, rather than just an idea of what each poster has around them, specifically.

I see it as two different threads. I may describe my town to someone asking about the local scene, but if someone somewhere else were asking about good locations, I would probably talk a little more about Atlanta and Nashville rather than my town. They are still within reasonable driving distance and easier to get into if you haven't established yourself or been vetted. Basic events anyway, to my understanding.

I've been around the world, mostly on business, and, well, I'm not really looking for kink when I do that.
The one thing I realize is that the US is filled with prudes, compared to a good portion of the industrialized world.
So I'll defer to the others on world-wide kink summaries.

The only summary I can give you is that an American-sized cock is something the Asians, in general, find surprising, but, that's a different topic than kink.

I have never made it to California. I will have to put that on my to do list. A lot of my early gear came out of Centurions in Orange county during the 80s.
I am headed to Denver to the Red Rocks Amphitheater for the Britt Floyd concert in June. I will have to see what additional things to ad to the itinerary. Thank you for the tip :)

I don't know if you are the type (though you seem to be) to want to hit a munch or something for non-concert time in June, have you thought of sending Dark Steven a note? He lives in the area and could probably give you the 411 if there are any munches/meet and greets that you might enjoy. You never know. Your schedule might end up being perfect to coincide with their munch night.

I do really enjoy meeting and talking with others. so that is a great suggestion. I will do some inquires as it approaches. I may or may not be traveling with non-bdsm people. Once I know that I can start making plans.

I completely get it. It can be hard to put anything firm down when talking about travel plans. A good reason to make inquiries, rather than promises.
