What goes on in kinky gizmo is nothing much compared to what went on secretive behind many locked wards in locked hospitals before the late 1990s. A sadists paradise! Stripped naked, shackled, genitals restrained, gagged, hooded, restrained to a bed in a locked room for years in some cases. Had some argument with the wife or lover, no problem, beat up on a patient victim whist they are semi comatose, Mount them and screw then, whip them, shock them, generally abuse them
The rarely are never get visitors. Get paid to have fun. No escape from captivity and I'll treatment. That was just the treatment given to the sane on admission patients. Sure there were and still are, first rate mental hospitals with humane policies and high calibre staff who strive to return the I'll person to their family and community but they are in the minority. The USA is 100 years behind say the UK in mental health care and treatment. Many Bdsm practices and tools started out has restraints and torture devises for use on helpless mental patients. Constitutional right, human rights, civil liberties are all stolen from the mental patient under often false pretext. The manual of psychiatric disorders is full of false and pretentious illnesses that no other Physician would recognize has being illness unless s symptom of organic illness. Psychiatry is easy ass medicine full of lies. They earn megabucks depriving people of liberty until their insurance runs out. People punished illegally for infringement of some minor hospital policy that is not a law and which they are not legally obliged to comply with. Staff may need to has a employment condition but not a patient. Forced to endure enforced and often harmful treatments administered by force at the behest of sadists. I have never been a patient in any kind of hospital. I have read retired and existing mental hospital employees boasting about how they enjoyed abusing people knowing the abuse was sanctioned and they were protected. People in prison for vile offences get treated harshly but they have a far better life than most long term mental patients. Are we Americans so cruel and harsh to each other and foreigners? Do we need guns to go out and kill folks under false pretext? Are we less civilised and humane than many other nations? We like most people in the world get the crumbs and those who hire us get the whole cake. We do not live in the home of the free and Land of the brave. No citizen of any country is free of state controlled slavery and no nation has any monopoly on courage. A person who is ill should not be ostracised, labelled and abused. They should be cared for and respected. Even patients in normal hospitals can be sedated and restrained without consent by the whim of a bastard who is too lazy to care properly. That happens in few other countries. Americans are arrogant and abusive people who often lack compassion for others and look down upon people who are more civilised. I say so as I am American and know the truth.
Some of you will be liberal minded and decent people, others will be conservative and fond of mocking other with whom you disagree whilst knowing they speak the truth. Frankly, the USA is a gigantic insane asylum. The present administration but it could have been any administration has past a law authorizing FEMA to enslave fellow americans if a major catastrophic event occured and the nations infrastructure was destroyed. tahe rich folks would want to poor folks to work under harsh conditions so they could get rich again.

Zygmunt Bauman said, “Never have we been so free. Never have we felt so powerless”
This is the outcome of 25 years of 'neoliberalism', a society where anyone can make it if they just try hard enough.

Good post Insanityasylum...I get you.
