ok, last weekend, I made and froze ten home Made Burritos for my work lunch this week. The weekend is coming very soon, and I would like to recreate my Burrito Experience But with something different than Burritos. So I know that there are Cooks, Mother's with Kids that need to feed hungry kids at school. Friends that have kids that need to feed hungry kids at school.
So here are the rules in the recipes that I am looking for:

1) it has to be simple, no ingredients that cost an arm and a leg or that I have to go to a specialty grocery store in the back end of no where for.
2) This needs to be something I can Make, Freeze and then reheat in a microwave.
3) I would like to keep each of these meals below 5 dollars per serving.
4) I am a big guy, I need to be satisfied. so think filling food, or think Hungry Man.
5) I will have one maybe two days tops to make it, wrap it up and freeze it.

So now, Game on!

I like mixing rice bowls with different meats.
1. Boil white rice in a large pot of water. Use more water (2X) than the direction on the box says
2. After 20 minutes drain all the water. Put rice back on the stove and let simmer for 15 minutes to finish absorbing the water. This will make the rice very fluffy.
3. Cooking the rice this way also gets rid of a lot of starch and calories to boot.
4. Now choose your meats.
a. Hamburger
b. Chicken
c. Sausage
d. Or????
5. Cook, dice up and add meat to the rice.
a. One bowl might have hamburger, one might have sausage. You get the idea.
6. Freeze and save for later

Separate items you can add cold after reheating the rice bowls:
• Shredded cheese – take your pick on what kind
• Diced tomatoes or a pesto sauce.
Think of it as homemade Chipotle. It is cheap and easy to do.

Stuffed cabbage is my choice. For a big appetite I'd to 2 pounds of ground meat, a head of cabbage, egg, can of tomato soup, can of tomato paste, instant rice (or the other kind cooked), and spices.

Boil the head of cabbage and separate the leaves. You will have to cut around the core. Mix raw ground meat with some rice (your choice as to how much), an egg, a tablespoon of tomato paste, and spices. Pick the 10 best cabbage leaves and add the meat mixture to each one and roll up. Use extra leaves on the bottom of the pan so the rolls don't burn. Mix tomato soup and paste with water and spices to cover the rolls. I like sauerkraut so add a can of that if you like it too, but it's optional. Bring to a boil and then simmer for an hour. I prefer cooking this in a pressure cooker but not everyone has one.

Yes, I am crazy about feathered creatures. I have a dozen chickens, 3 ducks, 5 geese, and 2 parakeets.

Revise that number. Just got 14 new chicks and 5 turkeys.
