I think it all depends if the man was submissive or dominant.
As a Dominant, we tend to be aggressive, it's in our nature.
If he was Dominant, I think the more appropriate response would have been something like this,

"Excuse me Sir, but please do not touch the property. Please respect the boundaries."

Well, that's my 2 cents worth.

From the op it sounds like this happened rather fast. By the time you got the words out of your mouth he would have had his hand on my ass and that would have been the last time we ever played. Now I can't speak for anyone else but had it been me lying there I would have been very thankful to have a top who was more concerned with her bottom than the fragile egos of some lurker. If you can't keep your hands to yourself you shouldn't be at the party to begin with.

Why do you think she should call him "Sir"?

oh hey, thanks for asking me that question. i don't know if u r new to BDSM or not, but at play parties the Dominants are called, "Sir" or some other title, and Domme are called, "Ma'am" or some other title. well, u know, the one i go to is that way. she may be at a similar play party where titles are appropriate. i mean that's no excuse 4 anyone to barge in and take over a scene. scenes r to be respected. but in any case, titles are to be given too.

What makes you think he was a dom? In the OP she said it was some guy she had never seen before?

Even at a swinger club, strip club or whatever. A decent human being will ask permission before touching.

Not really.
Sure, it's apropos.
It's polite.
It's definite.

But, let's take the case of dating in my college days.

Yea, lets not but thanks for asking. I think I am starting to see the problem here. Greta seems to think that most guys would ask and that it's the right or decent thing to do. I happen to agree with her by the way and it would seem most of the people on the board agree. You come back with stories of acting like an ass and think that somehow proves all guys are jerks and it's ok to touch without permission. It's not and all the cutesy little memoirs you can come up with are not going to change that.

Every single damn second I was on that floor, I was being chased (hounded, actually) by lurkers.
I swung through just once, and got my butt (literally) outta' there, and have never gone back.

I have to wonder how many women have had this same exact thought after encountering you at a party pushing boundaries.

The context of the thread has to do with a complete stranger. Nice try trying to twist things around. Plain and simple it is not okay.
Do you ask a woman's permission before shaking her hand?

Man, you must be a ton of fun at parties.

Actually you do, you ask when you hold your hand out. She answers by either returning the handshake or ignoring you. And shaking hands has fuck to do with walking into a scene and grabbing someones ass.

Zero.
Absolutely zero.

Wanna know why?

You missed the point.
But I was too wordy in explaining.
So that's understandable.
