I'm new to the BDSM community and i thought i'd start a profile on here just to see what the whole thing was about, or mabye make some friends in the community before i decide if it's right for me or not. Is this ok? I have in no way lead anyone on into thinking i'm ready to start a serious relationship or anything. I've gotten several nasty emails and was imed by someone who was very rude to me. Someone even told me they posted a nasty post about me. Is this the wrong place for someone who's not nescisarily looking for a relationship right now but just wants to test things out?

Sundrop,
First of all i would like to say Welcome! I am sorry to hear that your experiences here have been negative so far. Don't let that discourage you. Anyone who would be nasty in that manner is not honorable in my opinion and not worth the stress they are causing you. Because you are young and new some so called "Doms" may well try to take advantage. Just be polite and explain that you are trying to see if this is for you and that you are not looking at this time for partners or Masters. This is a good place to start and test the waters. Read the boards....you will find lots of good information on them. This is a truly wonderful way of life but it is not for everyone and only you can decide if it is right for you. If i can answer any questions you have please feel free to ask....i certainly don't know everything but i have been around for a little while. Good luck and enjoy!

It IS okay to get information and meet friends here. Welcome!! Just ignore the meanies, they are probably so insecure that they took what you wrote as a rejection which just KILLS their ego. No one wrote anything nasty about you and they can't--we don't talk about others that way here. So hang in there and good luck in finding what you are looking for.

Yes it's just fine. Reading the forums here may help you decide if this is something you want to pursue. Being very young and pretty, you will get a lot of emails. In your profile be sure to state clearly that you aren't looking for a relationship at this time. Good luck and welcome to Collarme.

While the site has a "personal's" section on the other side, the boards are here to learn from as well.

It is perfectly OK to come here to learn, in fact that is somewhat of the point. A place to meet others in the lifestyle and for those new to it to obtain informative information from others that are in the lifestyle. If you are being harrassed please do block them, there are many losers out there with nothing better to do than try and get you upset... just remember, there are a great many good people as well.

this is a good place to test the waters so to speak, and as for those who are nasty to you.....block them and/or ignore them.......welcome to the site and good luck in your search to learn things.

I will just say again what has been said: Ignore the bad ones, they will start leaving you alone after a while.

This is a great place to ask about anything. I have asked about everything from proper BDSM techniques, relationship advice and help with my car problems . Everything that I have asked has gotten answered and I have gotten a lot of good advice from the people here.

Unfortunately, you'll encounter a great many people like those that sent the rude emails. Just consider the source, and let it roll off your back. There are too many that consider themselves "lifestyle" experts. What they are is actually completely clueless. So, learn in whatever way you choose to. Just be safe.

Welcome to the message boards Sundrop,

Although I am new to the message boards, I have been following some of the threads here and can say that you have come to a very good place for information. And echoing the thoughts of others who have responded to you... I encourage you to ask all the questions you have. Forums like these allow you to become educated by evaluating the knowledge of others and finding what applies to you, rather than having to learn by "trial and error" in a lifestyle that can have damaging results if the intentions of one or both of the participants is less than honorable.

Ask away and you will soon learn how to differentiate those with a true desire to help, from those just looking to use you with no regard to your well being.

Enjoy the journey

Mod 3 I wouldn't call those whom
upset others as being * losers*
it could be that this is their * kink*
I take great pleasure being an instigator
and humiliator and all tho it is quite uncouth
to present such to a newbie youth, it
is not unusual for sum of Us to know
the kind of person that does such for
enjoyment no matter how demented
or rude another might take it.
I would say for all to learn tolerance [MOD3]
to those whom are different and know
that there will be many things on here
said that you might take as offensive
or simply do not understand being new
and there is a unseen group of folks that
do not practice SSC or RACK and you
need to learn what this is and practice
it for your self in order to protect your
rights of consensuallity.
Tolerance is good.

I might not
agree or like your words spoken or
you mine, cause they are gonna be harsh but
I would fight to My death your right
to say them and Me mine.

if anyone sends you a email not asked
for or a IM you block them with out
returning their words........ and then
email Me and tell Me there names and
Ill go have fun with em LOL ~wink~
