A few weeks ago, CNN hosted a town meeting on Firearms with their guest, President Obama. The format would be to allow people from all walks of life to ask questions to the President with regards to firearms and how they are accessed. The entire show lasted an hour and saw a number of individuals standing and asking the President some good and often times, lengthy questions. After which the President would answer the questions. The event was hosted by CNN's Anderson Cooper.

The subject was 'firearms', and the one organization not present was the National Rifle Association (NRA). This organization decided not to debate the topic in open format with the President (whom many would see as the rival in the contest over firearms). The President poked fun at them for not showing up at an event that seems would involve them; After which the event proceeded to the next question.

This is not how the NRA saw things. They believed the whole thing was a conspiracy. That it was originally organized by the White House (incorrect, it was organized by CNN). They were not invited (yes, they were invited). The President got to pre-screen both those in attendance (the White House did not) and their questions (no, the President did not get this either). The NRA contested that the host, Mr. Anderson Cooper was hand picked by the White House because he is so 'buddy-buddy' with the President. They either are not aware or more likely, ignore reality: Mr. Cooper has been quite the outspoken critic of the Obama White House from time to time.

The NRA states the questions were pre-screen; yet the day following that event, one of the people whom asked a question were on the NRA's own radio show: Cam & Company. The person explained how they were selected and their question was pre-screened by CNN. Yet, at the moment of the question, they could have asked anything. It was a live broadcast at the time. She could have asked the President anything on and off topic. Until the NRA types, when one is before the President of the United States of America, one behaves like an adult (regardless if you voted for him or not).

Why is it that the NRA is prone to conspiracy theories and false flags? Behaving in a childish and immature manner seems correct to them then behaving like an adult. Rather then a healthy discussion involving facts and known evidence? Does the NRA really lack any good quality facts and evidence by which to form an intelligent and intellectual argument that is not based upon fear (their usual 'bread and butter' trait in all their messages)?

The answer is 'No'.

Yeah, the NRA decides not to attend a townhall where the participants are chosen by a pro gun control group, where the moderator already has enumerated pro-gun positions, where the president has already in numerated pro gun control positions, and CNN is pro gun control.

And the NRA should want to go why?

Sometimes I wondrr about people's motivation. But then I realize again how easy it is to be brainwashed these day, what with no thing in the brain for the first three years. nothing to build upon. so sometimes it gets done remedially, like when someone is in the hospital wishing he had a gun last night.

Keep starting these threads joe. Eventually some maniac will find out where you are and of course can be assured you don't have the means to shoot him.

Perhaps to present their position in a public forum? Perhaps ask the articulate guy with the big ears about fast and furious?

amusing,... suppressing 1st amendment freedom by way of threat of 2nd amendment freedom. How very white American of you.

its too bad the nra didn't show up. Maybe some hints of actual answers to the issue might of shown up.
Of course, its easier to just throw bullets at the president rather than actually have a public dialogue where they might have to give an inch.

Termy didn't say anything about anyone exercising their Second Amendment freedom against anybody. He commented on the potential consequences of them not exercising theirs. But hey, I get it. Who cares, right? The important thing is to shit on white Americans.

Oh I don't know.... Maybe show that all their fear-mongering isnt just that? Or just another way to drive up the stock of gun company's?

Seriously, IF the gun lobby is so damn correct, it should of been able to walk in with best jock strap on and prove it. Even if they thought it was a set up.

Or is it only that ballsy when it has a gun in its hand? Or you gun lovers big mouths to spew with?

Why? Only to have Y'all suggest I should have a gun so that some "maniac" gun nut doesn't shoot Me or that cookie for speaking against his gun lobby??

and lets be honest here,... whats the odds of it NOT being a white nra "maniac" who would be the one to do that? (this ought to be good....) To Me or joe? Hmmm??

yea,.... like they did the last 2 elections...

And ya don't think that by having the balls to join in the conversation might give them a chance to covert their naysayers by doing so?

Or maybe show that y'all aren't the brainwashed people you infer we are?

Nope, "maniac" money tigers only. And the President is smarter than nra 5th graders.

allright..... (I said this was going to be good....) lets be logical about this,

what "some maniac." would " find out where" joe (or anybody) .....he is for posting what he does, and in this case questioning the nra that he should have fear & cause to add to the gun problem by buying a gun to protect himself from "some maniac." who shouldn't have any legal access to a gun because they are a "some maniac." in the 1st damn place.

Can u tell Me who that "some maniac." would be other than an irate nra member? And what are the greatest odds would that irate nra member look like? hmmm? that aint bashing.....that's fact. Too bad it makes u uncomfortable to be ( I take it u are from your reaction) of that group.

This is what u get for fear mongering. No matter how veiled you made it, that's what you did by telling in any way joe shouldn't (in this case) post things against the nra because "some maniac" would be assured he wouldn't have a gun to protect himself.

and k,.... I stand myself and stand up for myself just fine thank u.

this OP is about the nra who didn't.
