And the number of people associated with the Clinton campaign that have committed suicide ... well.

As one of many who've battled clinical depression, I have to say: That is one unspeakably cheap shot.

It says far more about your character than about anyone else's.

I hope phydeaux comes back to address that himself but in the meantime, apart from that people commit suicide for reason's other than depression, its possible he's referring to the deaths associated with the Clintons that were deemed "suicides" but that were nevertheless mysterious/unexplained and had timing being somewhat fortuitous to the Clintons.

what speaks to our character more is when we make judgments without first seeking understanding. im frequently guilty of that myself.

The people's flag is deepest red,
It shrouded oft our martyred dead,
And ere their limbs grew stiff and cold,
Their hearts' blood dyed its ev'ry fold.

Then raise the scarlet standard high.
Within its shade we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

Look 'round, the Frenchman loves its blaze,
The sturdy German chants its praise,
In Moscow's vaults its hymns are sung
Chicago swells the surging throng.

Then raise the scarlet standard high.
Within its shade we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

It waved above our infant might,
When all ahead seemed dark as night;
It witnessed many a deed and vow,
We must not change its colour now.

Then raise the scarlet standard high.
Within its shade we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

It well recalls the triumphs past,
It gives the hope of peace at last;
The banner bright, the symbol plain,
Of human right and human gain.

Then raise the scarlet standard high.
Within its shade we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

It suits today the weak and base,
Whose minds are fixed on pelf and place
To cringe before the rich man's frown,
And haul the sacred emblem down.

Then raise the scarlet standard high.
Within its shade we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

With heads uncovered swear we all
To bear it onward till we fall;
Come dungeons dark or gallows grim,
This song shall be our parting hymn.

Then raise the scarlet standard high.
Within its shade we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

Okay, I'll seek understanding.

If you know of a valid reason for using someone's suicide to score partisan points, please share it.

If you have actual evidence (or a source providing it) that "deaths associated with the Clintons that were deemed 'suicides'" were actually due to other causes, I'm open to seeing it.

no, youre not seeking understanding, youre being somewhat cynical under the guise of it.

no one has "actual" evidence. there is only, as I said, mystery caused by the timings and other factors. so without actual evidence, no one can bring something up that casts some doubt and sheds some light on the Clintons? especially given all the scandals they finds themselves in?

seeking understanding would have been writing phydeaux saying, "could you please elaborate on that?" or, "it seems like you are doing X, and if so, that's troublesome to me, is that the case?"

that said, maybe its less about "partisan points", as in conservative vs liberal, and more about, we think there is something awful nasty about Hillary Clinton?

or a more insightful question as a response---what's the relationship between the Clintons, their ideology, or the practice of their ideology, that might cause/lead to/be associated with a higher suicide rate amongst the people around them when compared to the general population?

but let me turn your question back around to you---what is it about death in general, or suicide in particular, that makes it off limits in an ideological battle? why should the battle of ideas stop short of not including that? if more liberals than conservatives commit suicide (I don't know if that's true, im just using it as an example), that doesn't matter? if christians commit suicide less than atheists, that doesn't matter?

In other words, innuendo and speculation.

Maybe

This is simply a wordier rephrasing of the earlier attempt to tar the Clintons without, as you acknowledged, actual evidence.

To borrow from Duke Ellington, if you have to ask . . . .

I don't know if that's true

Don't let that stop you.

fascinating, I just used an example in order to illustrate a point and took great caution to make sure I let the reader know it was fictional/hypothetical and your response to that is to take a poke? while skirting the question too.

no, its a legitimate question you seemingly don't want to answer. many people did die---and if they died under "normal" circumstances, the question is all the more valid. your "actual evidence" in this case is irrelevant to the point of the question.

To borrow from Duke Ellington, if you have to ask . . . .

apparently, im not up on duke ellington's position on speaking about death and suicide and as you didn't provide, i'll remain there...

sometimes things that are nevertheless true, start out as "innuendo and speculation" even if they never move beyond that. other times, those characteristics lead to further examination in which the truth is uncovered. given how shady the Clintons are in general, this is just one more thing in the debit column even though one doesn't know exactly what to believe.

considering that bill had never been charged with rape, maybe you must believe as fido , he claims bill is a rapist, without any proof, charges, or ..
Same as the suicide meme he just brought up.
It was mean spirited and baiting.
but hey, its the new normal

But never in the history of nutsuckerism has it been nevertheless true, it always has been innuendo and speculation, that is the way of the nutsucker. And it is proven out here in fact and history.

Bill Clinton was never criminally charged with rape. However more than 22 women have accused him of rape. Hillary said "victims should be believed" who are you to argue?
How antifeminist of you.

Now Clinton was involved in a civil suit alleging rape and sexual harassment. And Clinton paid $850,000 dollars, and lost his legal license. Sworn deposition from that trial from
an expert witness was that Clinton had almost bitten her lip off - and that this was a technique serial rapists used against women.

quote:

According to a former rape investigator with the New Orleans Police Department, lip biting is a common M.O. for rapists. She told Inside Cover:

"The reason rapists bite is because, even with the full weight of her attacker on top of her, the woman is often able to resist the parting of her legs by locking her ankles. The rapist's arms are busy keeping her pinned down. The only weapon the rapist has left is his teeth, which he uses to bite while demanding she open her legs
]

quote:

Broaddrick

Juanita Broaddrick was a county coordinator for Bill Clinton and a volunteer in his ’78 gubernatorial campaign.

On April 25, 1978, Arkansas Attorney General Bill Clinton, the state’s highest law enforcement official, allegedly raped Juanita Broaddrick– savagely biting her top lip to subdue her. Broaddrick recalls that after the incident, Clinton put on his sunglasses and told her to ice her mangled lips…

You might want to put some ice on that.

Broaddrick’s friend, Norma Rogers-Kelsay, found here in her hotel room after the rape. Kelsay told Fox news on February 2, 1999 that Juanita “was hysterical– her lip was blue and bleeding and her hose was severely torn”. Kelsay says Juanita “told me they had intercourse against her will.”

Evidence suggests Hillary Clinton knew about the rape in real time and helped cover it up. We know this because Larry Nichols was in the room with Buddy Young when Hillary came running in, shouting “You will never believe what the mother****** [Bill] did now– he tried to rape some b****!”

quote:

Eileen Wellstone

Rhodes scholar Bill Clinton allegedly raped 19-year-old Eileen Wellstone at Oxford in 1969.

Wellstone says she was sexually assaulted by Bill after she met him at a pub. A retired State Department employee later anonymously told Capitol Hill Blue in 1999 “There was no doubt in my mind that this young woman had suffered severe emotional trauma…But we were under tremendous pressure to avoid the embarrassment of having a Rhodes scholar charged with rape.”

Bill left Oxford with no degree (96% of Rhodes Scholars get degrees).

quote:

In 1972, a 22-year-old woman told campus police at Yale
University that she was sexually assaulted by Clinton, a law student
at the college. No charges were filed, but retired campus policemen
contacted by Capitol Hill Blue confirmed the incident.

quote:

From 1978-1980, during Clinton’s first term as governor
of Arkansas, state troopers assigned to protect the governor were
aware of at least seven complaints from women who said Clinton
forced, or attempted to force, himself on them sexually. One retired
state trooper said in an interview that the common joke among
those assigned to protect Clinton was "who’s next?".
One former state trooper said other troopers would often escort
women to the governor’s hotel room after political events, often
more than one an evening;

quote:

In 1974, a female student at the University of Arkansas
complained that then-law school instructor Bill Clinton tried
to prevent her from leaving his office during a conference. She
said he groped her and forced his hand inside her blouse

quote:

Elizabeth Ward, the Miss Arkansas who won the Miss America
crown in 1982, told friends she was forced by Clinton to have
sex with him shortly after she won her state crown.

quote:

Paula Corbin, an Arkansas state worker, filed a sexual
harassment case against Clinton after an encounter in a Little
Rock hotel room where the then-governor exposed himself.

quote:

Sandra Allen James, a former Washington, DC, political
fundraiser says Presidential candidate-to-be Clinton invited her
to his hotel room during a political trip to the nation’s capital
in 1991, pinned her against the wall and stuck his hand up her
dress.
•Christy Zercher, a flight attendant on Clinton’s leased
campaign plane in 1992, says Presidential candidate Clinton exposed
himself to her, grabbed her breasts and made explicit remarks.

quote:

Kathleen Willey, a White House volunteer, reported that
Clinton fondled her against her will during an Oval Office meeting
in November, 1993.

Another complaint -
quote:

The former Miss Moffet, the legal secretary who says Clinton tried to force her into oral sex in 1979, has since married and left the state. She says that when she told her boyfriend, who was a lawyer and supporter of Clinton, about the incident, he told her to keep her mouth shut.

"He said that people who crossed the governor usually regretted it and that if I knew what was good for me I'd forget that it ever happened," she said. "I haven't forgotten it. You don't forget crude men like that."

As reported in American Spectator, Capitol Hill Blue, Wall Street Journal, NBC, Meet the Press

And these leave off the more well known cases - Jennifer flowers, Paula Jones...

When Monica asked Bill to settle the Jones suit, he said, "You don't understand, I can't. There are hundreds of them."

These reports are a few of the more than 3 dozen allegations of sexual harassment, rape and sexual misconduct against bill Clinton.

Or here's Sen. McCASKILL: I said at the time, "I think he's been a great leader, but I don't want my daughter near him."

On July 6, 1997, young Mary Mahoney, a former White House intern, who was about to go public with sexual assault/rape charges against Bill Clinton, was shot to death in a professional hit at the Georgetown Starbucks coffee shop. She took 5 shots including a shot to the back of the head, execution style. Later as a message to Monica, Bill Clinton gave Lewinsky a Starbucks coffee mug.

Yeah, I'm pretty comfortable calling him a rapist.
