The former Royal Lincolnshire Regiment, raised in 1685 as the Earl of Baths Regiment, merged with 3 other regiments to form the Royal Anglican Regiment back in the late 1950s. 1 of 112 regiments raised each with 2 to 3 battalions prior to the various 1800s mergers reduced on county affiliations then merged again in 1881 and 1958 and 1968. Not merged in 1992 are 2006. They are far from yellow bell's.They like all ancient British Infantry have several hundred battle honors just like all other line regiments raised from the 1660 to onwards. The former Royal Scots in Scots service since 1633 and prior to that in Swedish and French service since the mid 1300s. The Coldstream Guards, a former parliamentary Army Regiment raised in the 1650s.
