Status: offline 		Valentines Day is coming up but there is Super Bowl Sunday first (also my daughter's 21st b'day). I will be rooting for the Broncos.

Doing fine medically, just not enough sleep. Working on a few afghans when I am not playing games. Been clipping coupons like crazy trying to save money. Thinking of opening an Etsy shop so I can sell these baby afghans (I love playing with different yarns).

Mom is doing PT for her back. Finally got the results of the MRI of her back and she has arthritis like I do (which is why we have disabled placards).

Getting ready for bed...grocery shopping in the morning and it will drive me nuts.

Status: offline 		A moment ago I posted something in the I Admits that I probably should have posted here instead. My fingers feel sore from all the typing I've done tonight (am going to bed in a couple more hours, when the sun starts coming up).

Just from watching the Tomb Raider chick do her battle scenes with that wooden stick thingy... Well, my son picked up a matched set of floggers for the first time and instantly knew how to do Florentine. Something I've been unable to learn these past few years. It blew me away. He said it would go easier on his wrists if he had floggers that had no handles, and I saw he was holding them in a way I never thought to hold them.

I slept last month away and will likely sleep this month away too. If I get any work done, other than just the usual shopping and bill paying, woohoo! That's a great day. I feel like I'm fighting the need to hibernate. (crosses eyes)

I have to buy a new bag to carry my stuff, and am working on gradually replacing all that I lost. A lot of my history is gone, leather wise, and I am grieving the loss of my old floggers. Still, life goes on and I've got two new pretties (the matched floggers are purple and black) in my hands and I've seen several awesome ones I'm planning to buy over the course of this year. One's a monster sized flogger with four ft. long falls (it's going to give me a better workout and my aim is good enough to handle it) and I'm planning on having it soon after April.

I also drooled over some dark green deer hide being sold over at Ebay, but I had already spent my fun money for the month and didn't have the $120. I'm also trying to find out if it's normal for deer hide to just be 2 oz, and how to find ones that are 3 oz instead. There's a leather store in Kentucky and I'm considering someday driving there so my hands can see for themselves how the leather feels like before buying anything.

I've also ordered from China what seems to be devices that are just like Violet Wand. Mine are going to light up red. I wish I could have afforded the one that lights up with some purple but it was from a different company and costs $40 something more. I'm...actually going to try this stuff out, along with a needle-less acupuncture meridian pen blah blah blah for it's intended use for pain control and stuff like helping carpal tunnel syndrome. I bought a second kit just in case it zaps very nicely, like the Violet Wands others have zapped me with when I wanted to know what it was like. Can't say that I felt the same thing when I looked at the acupuncture needles...I kept thinking "penii porcupines" and needle corsets.

I can't replace my fire cupping set just yet but I'm considering getting a vacuum cupping set. The prices where I'm shopping at are very good, I'm just waiting to see how good their gadgets are after they arrive.

Mom's birthday is this month and I already gave her her gifts as they arrived in the mail. The only thing left is the HP Time Turner necklace but I'm going to have to wait till it arrives in the mail. Hm, I could also surprise her by buying a big cake at Sams...

I took my blind neighbor shopping at two places yesterday, and then to McDonalds. Today I'm going to have to take her to Lowes, too, probably, and then I've got several things I have to do for myself and probably for mom. She's moving into a new apartment on the 3rd and needed to pick up a new coffee machine at one store, and a microwave that had knobs in another. I feel like sleeping the week away just to recover from all that I have to get done. My sciatic nerve is very messed up and it's screaming at me quite loudly 24/7. It almost caused me to fall yesterday, when my left leg complained by buckling out from under me. Luckily I was in the house and grabbed a nearby book case with one hand and a desk with another.

Again, this winter is making me feel very old. Can't wait till it's over.

February. Easiest way to say it, I'm having a flipping blast! I swear, I live a charmed play life. It's been going in spurts because holidays, post holidays, flu, then blizzard that closed clubs, schedules... Everybody has been really cool about it and understanding when plans have had to change or be postponed. Some play dates went from *supposed to be on X* and ended up being days later and AM instead of PM. It's working though. I just keep joking that Mother Nature is a bigger Dominant than me. LOL.

I got new dungeon additions! (Not the human kind.) I know. I'm the last person who needs more toys but I'm not exactly going to say no, either. Big shock. A pair of purple floggers and I love them. They are the perfect weight for me and I needed more thud anyway. I'll post pics (if I can) in a few days.

(People are going to start thinking I'm completely silly. Bah. Who cares?)

I have this new thing for Cards Against Humanity. We've been doing game night at the local clubs and I am convinced that I need this game. Sorry/NotSorry but I think this is one of the best ice breakers in a kink environment EVER. So, add that to my WoW playing and my TWD fascination and I must be the least logical female Dominant on these boards.

Speaking of being a hard core TWD fan, second half of season six starts on Valentine's Day here in the US. I will be on my couch, wearing my Daryl shirt, with remote firmly in hand. Since this is the case, MP and I are doing our romance thing... Ummmm... Let's just say early. I think it's romantic as hell.

If this is February, sign me up for more!!!

Status: offline 		We adopted Harvey yesterday officially (well the rescue finally came around with the papers and we handed over the adoption fee), he's settling down somewhat so it's good, so far we haven't lost more furniture...

Work is a bit manic at the moment, but that's a good thing, keeps me out of trouble...

Otherwise pretty much the same as usual

had an experience that left me feeling suicidal after leaving a munch.

to be honest I am absolutely disgusted at what happened.

Furious does not even begin to sum up my sentiments.

dont worry I am not going to do anything stupid, just after that I want nothing to do with any of this.

I will go into more detail tomorrow when I have time.

Status: offline 		I'm here for February! Gosh, I can't believe January and the Holidays are over already. I feel like time is going by faster and faster...

It's been a little tough for me to take breaks from my work so I've been making more of an effort to do that. ^_^ I don't want to burn out but, at the same time, producing quality clips one time per day is certainly a lot to keep up with. Phew!

Other than that, I am taking things one day at a time. I just have to remind myself to stop and smell the roses... luckily, I have a lovely cat to help me with that, too.

I hope everyone is doing well!

DaveLuke, sorry you had a bad experience at the munch! I hope you're feeling calmer and more at peace today.

Mika, kitties are great at helping us to smell the roses (or at least to enjoy the scritches/purrs).

LC, I hadn't heard about Harvey before, I assume he's a puppy?

CynthiaWVirginia I was super intimidated at first by Florentine flogging, they were always going on about having to perfectly balance the floggers and take classes and whatnot. The first time I tried it, I went, "Oh, it's just double-dutch jump rope! I climbed on top of my playpartner and started flogging her while singing jumprope songs.

My PT/rehab for my ankle feels a bit stalled out/plateaued, but I'm glad I can run and dance and stuff again, and I'm working on my cardio fitness. I've been getting out in the BDSM community more recently, and plan to volunteer at a couple of parties this month.

So far ..im a happy camper...I got all my toys and clothes back, Im having "my presiousssssssssssssss " moments over my returned floggers and electro stuff, and my BOOTS< yeah. So far two big boxes with another two to come....
I have three birthdays this month, so its a lil busy getting ready for a big party on valentines day(hubs birthday)
I wish it would get cold. 50 degrees in february is so not fun.
All my hard work I slaved for in august and september is working out marvellously. But its a constant work in progress.
Im planning on going to a munch with a friend at the end of the month, we will see how that goes, but I have so much enthusiasm now, I cant wait.

He's a 1 year old rescue Dobie, with now lanky 45 kilos he's a bit above puppy size, our Alfie died in November and we were asked if we could foster Harvey, he drove me nuts first by destroying most of the furniture and my clothes, eating a leather corset, bras, iPhones, iPads, laptops (he didn't eat them but just flung them against the wall) but has calmed down a lot now, he had a medical issue that is addressed and he's best friends with my super stroppy cat, so I'm dealing with organized theft ;) Cat is the brain, dog is the muscle

I have returned to school and am finally starting to settle back in to the schedule. Honestly, I don't know how I ever found time to work!

The ball 'n' chain is getting very comfortable with her Christmas present; with all the guitars that are laying around the house, this one is truly becoming hers. She can play "Same Ol' Song and Dance" almost as well as Brad Whitford!

Puppy is healing nicely and may actually return to his old self (some idiot neighbours tried to kill him with poison). He has gotten a lot more "attached" to everyone in the house (which is unusual from what people tell me because Cocker Spaniels usually only really get attached to one person).



I was nominated for a broadcast award which, if I win, will be a huge feather in my cap. I have been offered a job, should I want it, once I finish school. Telecommuting across the continent is something I've never done so I might just have to dive in.

The CD is three songs from finished and I might just beat old Joe Scratch in this race.

My grandson's birthday is near the end of the month and I might be going out to see him, next month (we get a break in the semester, early in March.

Status: offline 		Aww, my aunt and uncle have a gangly adolescent dobie too, but he's pretty well-behaved. He and my uncle were hit by a car while they were on a walk together a couple of months ago. The dog is fine, but my uncle had to have surgery. :(

Status: offline 		Update: Mom is doing PT for her back. The right hip has been hurting like crazy lately. Lizard got a ton of M:tG cards for her birthday.

I am designing a baby afghan with a stitch that I developed myself. Got tons of baby afghans on eBay but I will switch over to Etsy in a couple of weeks (better costs).

Been building up my chakra pendant collection. Also been devoting myself more into religious studies and practicing candle magic for healing people.

Finally got a smartphone but my wi fi has a lot to be desired. Been hitting the bargain corner at one of my favorite yarn providers (80 cents a skein!!!). Need to clean of my desk (just missing the kitchen sink now). Sunkist the cat has been going crazy on the roof of the trailer, especially at 2 in the morning (grumble grumble).

Sister in law is having all her teeth pulled today. She is going to get dental implants (too expensive for me). I just need to remove a few more teeth and will get my dentures then. Bo says that he has ebil plans for me and my gums...going to gum his arm off if he does not behave or cook me an ribeye when I go back to Austin in August.

Discovered a new author. Luckily I have a Kindle so her ebooks are cheaper than the paperbacks (DLed the first of the series this morning).

Status: offline 		On the 13th/14th, my favorite aunt passed away in her sleep. ME says it was a heart attack. Mom just left today to help organize her funeral in AR (she died in LA) which will be the 26th. Mom has been sick with this virus and I am surprised I did not get it. When we got news of my aunt's death, she get her butt in gear and got things going in LA for the cremation since my aunt was not married (lived with the same guy for 31+ years) and LA said that family had to do the paperwork, not SOs. Every time she got off the phone, I wiped it down with alcohol swabs. Both of us can't afford to be sick at the same time.

I am going through my yarn stash and anything I don't want, I am selling. So far I have hit the Closet of Doom and depending on the weather tomorrow will go to the storage shed/Grandma's house and get all the storage totes in here. My mania must be kicking in....

I am also working on an afghan for my aunt in KC. She is complaining about it being cold and I had done one up for myself in this pattern in a dark orchid. Hers is going to be a light blue called Blue Bell (no, not the ice cream, more like the flower).

Will see the orthopedic guy on the 2nd about my OA in my left shoulder and the DJD in my right hip. My regular doctor had me try Duexis which is a new drug containing ibuprofen (800 mg) and another drug that soothes the stomach so you don't have any upset stomach from taking the ibuprofen. Of course I was downing 3,000 mg of the stuff per day and the Duexis actually worked. Had to get my Medicare part D to approve it so I can get the prescription later this week, its that new.

Miss Behavin', the grey cat, has been a P.I.T.A. lately. She keeps meowing like crazy, especially if Michael, the tomcat, is not around. Sunkist still hangs out on the roof of the trailer and last rainstorm was trying to get up there but fell off. Mom heard a thump outside and thinking it was a limb falling looked out the window and that damned cat was wandering away with a sore pride.

Paying off one credit card next week, another one in April and should have my lower teeth extracted in May.

I am also doing research on my family tree. Told Mom to get ALL the information from her side of the family so I was organize it. So far we found out that Mom is related to about half the people in her hometown town. Years ago our neighbor went there to do some research as well...maybe we are related to her (small world).
