Thought I would share some of my favourite pictures. The last few days in the UK, if you looked at the correct time and the skies were clear, and before dawn and just after sunset, we have been fortunate to witness rare phenomena called Polar stratospheric clouds Polar stratospheric cloud or PSCs, also known as nacreous clouds, or mother of pearl, cloud iridescence. The last two pictures are Noctilucent cloud

I could probably double this up on a main forum by simply asking how does one define true beauty

Beautiful!

On my wish list is to witness the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). The best place to view them from my state (Michigan) in the U.S. is really in the upper peninsula, right off the shores of one of our greats lakes, Lake Superior. I have only seen pictures and often wonder if the sight is as breathtaking as the photographs.

They leave the photographs for dead satanscharmer. I saw them from Tromso when I was living in Norway and have seen the Southern Aurora from the southern tip of South America ( Cape Horn). Both equally incredible.
