I've been face to face with a bear, mountain lions, coyotes and rattle snakes.
Have pet a pregnant wild raccoon, and a picked up a possum (who was playing death, which I didn't know they do).
I've found a black widow in my bed, and hobo spiders in the basement (not to mention about the 10 million black widows our lot has from being vacant for years).

All without any issue or getting hurt.

But the MOSQUITOS!!!!!

They're the bane of my existence. Apparently I'm allergic to North American mosquitos.
I get the bites to swell up the size of a chicken egg, and they stick around for a month, causing a rash that's like having a hundred normal mosquito bites all at once, and a localized 'fever'.
On top of that I'm the blood type they like the best, so even if I'm out with 10 other people, I'm the only one getting bit.

I can't go out at all during dusk or dawn, even with protection, and outside of those hours only with it.

Most competition rules limit the velocity of the paintball gun to 280FPS (feet per second). This equates to about 11 joules of muzzle energy for the paintball. That is enough to split open a man's sack especially at close range. Sorry to bring up safety but I have to.

All paint balls guns have a regulator on them and the firing energy can easily adjusted and decreased. I would recommend dummying down the velocity to a maximum of 200FPS. A Chronograph is used to determine the paintball velocity. Most avid paintball players have one. If not purchasing one for an event would not be that costly.


While I agree we should probably use a slightly lower velocity, keep in mind, that is muzzle velocity. Unlike a bullet, which over short distances only really has to deal with gravity, paintballs are very light and dont have a lot of directional stability, so they lose a lot of energy as soon as they leave the barrel.

When I first read this idea I thought I would never be able to actually do it, but its looking more likely now. I have already found six other people who said they would definitely be in. The most surprising part though is I found two outdoor paitnaball fields, the only two I have tried to contact so far, on Long Island that said we could do this at their location. I was half thinking they might just delete the email thinking it was a joke, and while one did say it was the strangest request they have ever gotten, the other said "sure" like they do this once a week.

I don't see why you need a "paintball field" when any field will do.

Maybe you don't live in an area where people can romp for hours with nobody seeing them, but that stuff abounds out here.
You could chop down trees out here, and nobody would be the wiser.

Heck, nobody would see the paint on the trees until long after it's worn off.

Everything is easier when you deal only with men.
Try to get some women involved, and let's see how that goes.

Of course, you can always pay women to show up, and that would work just fine - but notice the prices payed on the advertised Bambi hunt I posted (upwards of 10 grand per hunt).

99.9% of the time you're calling an hourly-wage worker at the front desk who doesn't really know what they'll do until/unless they've actually done it.
Although, if all you asked was whether they allow people to wear or not wear whatever they want, and if laws aren't broken (e.g., kids can't be allowed to see what's going on), then I don't see it as an issue other than a 'safety' issue (which I'll let the owners of the paintball establishment define).

If so ... I cry out "no fair!" ... women have "more" (much better too) genitalia than do men!
