AQRMZ -> RE: New Hampshire primaries. (2/10/2016 4:49:04 PM)

What do you think of a possibility of Carson? Here is a little bit about him that I read on a Craig's list politics.
==================================================================================

Who do you want as a president? How about a man that owes no one any political favors or debts, can be diplomatic, thoughtful, firm, and has your best interests at heart; an obvious national and world leader.
AND
A man who started life "below" the bottom, worked his way up to the top where he is now, a world renowned surgeon who made many life and death decisions, consulted with others when needed to get the "job" done right, had no scandals, has been loyal for years to his wife. Who else on the stage can say that?
DR. BEN CARSON THAT IS WHO
HE IS MY MAN FOR THE JOB.
HE IS THE ONLY MAN THAT CAN DO THE JOB

BENS STAND ON ISSUES

"Improving cybersecurity must be one of our highest national priorities. American's cyberborders are being compromised daily be Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, ISIS and cyber criminals. Therefore, all sectors of our society - government, academia, business and citizens - must be mobilized. We must work together to protect ourselves from cyberwarfare." - Dr. Ben Carson

TAXES
"Congress has spent years picking winners and losers. It has to stop. There are so many exemptions in our tax code that it has become an industry in Washington. Our tax code has become 75,000 pages of loopholes and special interest exemptions. It is time to start fresh. I favor a flat tax where everyone pays the same percentage of their income with no deductions, no loopholes and no shelters." - Dr. Ben Carson

SOCIAL SECURITY
"There have been many changes in our society since Social Security was first created. People are now living longer and the economic climate has changed significantly. Unfortunately, according to its Board of Trustees, Social Security will be insolvent by 2033. Therefore, I will prioritize common sense reforms that will make Social Security solvent for seniors for the long term." - Dr. Ben Carson

SMALL BUSINESS
"Small businesses provide the entrepreneurial spirit that can make our economy thrive. However, the current regulatory climate has harmed the ability of small businesses to grow and create jobs. For example, small businesses cannot expand beyond 50 employees without facing significant economic consequences from Obamacare. I believe removing such burdensome regulations would boost small businesses and help jumpstart the economy." - Dr. Ben Carson

MIDDLE CLASS
"During the Obama administration, middle class families have struggled. Middle class incomes have dropped while costs such as health care have increased dramatically. I believe restoring free market policies, including a simpler, flat tax and reduced government regulatory burden on businesses, will increase the incomes of middle class families and allow more people to achieve the American Dream." - Dr. Ben Carson

REGULATORY ISSUES
"The federal government's regulatory regime costs nearly $1.8 trillion. These costs are passed through from businesses, in the form of higher costs, to consumers. We need to scale back federal regulations and submit every federal regulation to a rigorous cost/benefit analysis. If the regulation does not provide more benefits than its costs, it would be eliminated." - Dr. Ben Carson

"Politics is a nasty business. It's why so many Americans, including me, have been disillusioned.
Personal ambition and conflict are often valued more than honesty, substance and solutions.
I'm running for President because it's time for accountability and integrity, and the only way we can make a difference is for all of us as citizens to take a stand.
That includes holding the media to account when it spreads false or misleading information -- which is what CNN did at the start of the Iowa Caucuses "

I'm so fucking glad the goddamn primary is over.

I really feel like all the mail and ads I saw were put there to punish me for registering undeclared.

Next time- the person who sends me the least garbage in the mail gets my vote. I'm really not even kidding.

I got 12 flyers on Monday. 12.

Mostly from Rubio- so right now he's right at the top of my shit list.

Jeez, they really take the 'pummel the voters' strategy over there, don't they?

I guess that you could say that the women of New Hampshire prefer Hell to Hilary.

On the other hand, I think it is sad that even though Bernie won, Hillary will still have more delegates. That seems. . . wrong. . . to me.

This whole election process has been wrong
Im glad the females for hillary bullshit has been put to bed.

I'm sure the Clinton campaign isn't finished alienating people with the "you're a sexist" and "you're a disgrace to women" tag lines for those not voting for her just yet. Millennials in particular don't seem to care as much about her being a woman as her campaign thinks they do. If Bernie can get his civil rights credentials out there, she's sunk even with those 300+ delegates from the establishment which she claims she isn't part of.

I may be a little cynical. :/

I have a few friends up in New Hampshire that are the same way. I was joking with them: "Hey, you could live in Massachusetts! We are voting for the Democrat whether we go to the polls or not".

I'm not surprise Mr. Sander's got the nod. Clinton was going to have a tough time in the state.

I hope so. That always was a travesty of feminism.

Nah, the media will keep flogging that dead horse.

Greta75 -> RE: New Hampshire primaries. (2/12/2016 4:11:06 AM)

I just read this on my local papers. Physical local papers, so no link sorry.

But it claims that since 1952, There were like 16 Presidential Elections held.

13 of them, the person who won NH, became President. The other 3 who did become President, had second place in NH.

So NH win is huuuge!!!!!

So cool! Seeing like this haha! OMG! President Trump is happening!

The sample size really is too small to make a big deal about it. That said - its' better to win nh.

Telling women they have no choice...isn't feminism.

For the record- I voted for Bernie.
I'm not a surprised he won here.
I'm not a surprised Trump won here either.

NH is full of political extremes and personal freedoms are important here- more so since the Free Staters got here. Bernie and Trump are at the opposite ends of the spectrum- to me it played out as expected. I mean we don't have click it or ticket laws, a sales tax, and really loose motorcycle helmet laws. We take that live free or die shit pretty seriously, even if its weird.

Also NH has a lot of women in its government- as an NH woman- I can promise I didn't put our stupid medical and recreational mary jane blocking governor into office.

I also am a HUGE liberal hippy- but its going to be really hard for me if Hilary gets the nomination. I think she's scary and for lack of a better term very "House of Cards-y"

KenDckey -> RE: New Hampshire primaries. (2/12/2016 7:01:28 PM)

Bernie didn't win, necessarily, NH. If the superdelegates decide to vote hilary, then she won.
