Unrelated trivia: Did you know that in real life, Joan Crawford was only 5'2"? That movie made her seem so intimidating (and she apparently was that) - but seemed less so (to me) once I found that out.

OK there are two different forms of "punishments" I receive

First is the "Your really in trouble, you fecked up and now I'm sorry but I have to teach you not to behave that way again" which is serious.  In this case, there is nothing about it I enjoy.  When Master gets that "You disappointed me, kitten" look, I know that everything is serious and that I have stepped over bounds and now I deserve whatever I get.

On the flip side we have play punishments, sometimes Master encourages me to be a bit teasing so that he can pretend to find a reason to "punish" me, this is not serious, this is enjoyment, it's play, and it's yummy.  These punishments could be anything from spanking, to well that's private. * winks* I adore spankings, and Master adores giving them to me.  We both know he doesn't need a reason to spank he can do it anytime, but the play that I've been to teasing just adds another element to it.

Trust me, the belt hurts a lot worse with a punishment than without.  Not because the hitting is harder (a bit maybe), but because the heart is usually broke from knowing you let him down.  I can't find pleasure in that, no matter how much I love that dang belt.

i agree. there is a difference between punishment and sensations generated for any other reason. i hate punishment, coz i know i have disappointed both my Master and myself.
 
otherwise i enjoy all sorts of pain play, but i think my favourite is prolly stretching me, or inserting things in me... but wot can i say... i'm a slut[:)]

I don't enjoy giving punishment, but have found the following to be effective, do they enjoy it, hell no.

Metal Rod Across Thighs w/ 6 of the best
The Bastard Punishment Paddle in Stainless Steel w/ 21 holes drilled in it
Open Hand Slaps Across The Face
"Seen and not heard" for 24 hours
Hand scrubbing floors, toilets, showers and bathtubs with a toothbrush

just to name a few
