Status: offline 		You gotta admit that the court system in Egypt is all messed up. A 4 year old boy was just sentenced to life in prison for crimes he supposedly committed when he was 1. They include attempted murder and threatening soldiers and police officers. He was accidentally put on the list and the courts didn't show the judge his birth certificate. The article goes on to say there is no way to reverse this awful thing.

So you defend the conviction of a 4 year old for the actions he supposedly committed as a 1 year old. I'm going to have to stop making fun of you. Clearly you have a mental illness. Commenting on a post that says "US approved government" does not in any fashion mean I approve of the life sentence of a 4 year old. Especially since the US cut aid to the Al-Sissi government and supported Morsi.

It means that I find the post anti-american nature of the post disasteful, just as I found joether's comments comparing trump to hitler distasteful.

As for you - "standing up for whats right" - its really hard for you to make that case when 5/5 of your last posts involve gratuitous personal attacks on me mate.

Factual information clearly makes no difference to you, so why should I even bother putting in the effort? You shove your head in the ground and ignore everything that doesn't fit your twisted sense of reality, so the least I can do is point out just how twisted and fucked up your thought process is in the hopes that onlookers realize just how wrong fucked up you are and the right wing extremist mentality really is.

6/6. Actually - the thread is about a 4 year old who got a life sentence. Making personal attacks is in fact a violation of the TOS. As is making non-germane posts.

As for the rest of the drivel. If your idea of "showing me" (or alternately - showing others how great your logic is) then perhaps you should actually demonstrate some of your "superior" logic. Because otherwise you're just acting like a 2 year old. Which doesn't discredit me at all - just you.

Status: offline 		An Egyptian court sentenced a very young child to life in prison last week after finding him guilty of multiple counts of murder.

Ahmed Mansour Qurani Sharara, who was not in court, was convicted along with 115 other individuals allegedly involved in a violent January 2014 protest in support of ousted President Mohammed Morsi.

Various media reports put Ahmed's current age at 3 or 4 years old.

Authorities, at least some of them, knew how young he was. Police had showed up to arrest Ahmed in early 2014, CNN reported, only to discover that he was still a baby. So they detained his father, Mansour Qurani Sharara, instead.

Even so, two years later, the little boy was convicted in absentia of four counts of murder, eight counts of attempted murder and additional counts of vandalizing government property.

The child's father, meanwhile, was held for four months before being released and going on the run. After his son's conviction, Sharara appeared in an emotional televised interview on Saturday to say he feared for his child's safety. In his arms he cradled Ahmed.


Egyptian authorities have since admitted they made an error and promised that the boy and his father would not be detained, CNN reports. In a Facebook post in Arabic on Sunday, an Egyptian military spokesman said Ahmed's conviction was actually intended for a 16-year-old with the same name.

But the fact that a tiny child would even be accused of murder highlights widespread concerns over the conduct of Egypt's courts in recent years, amid the broader political crackdown following the 2013 ouster of Morsi. Human rights groups have slammed the judicial system for repeatedly reaching mass convictions and handing down mass death penalty sentences.

A group of United Nations experts warned in 2014 that the country's judicial system is "in critical need of being reformed," a judgment that was fiercely rejected by Egypt.

At no point did I mention race, and in fact I do not even know the race of the defendant.

2. anti-american.

I assume by that you mean my mention of their US approved government. So by that do you mean that you support(ed) Pinochet, Saddam and the Shah of Iran ? So a one year old committed multiple murders. How the fuck did he do that ? You tell me fucking brainiac. How the fuck does a one year old kill anyone ? Choke his little brother ? Status: offline 		If it happened in some parts of the US, when they realized it was a mistake he would have gotten probation instead of a prison sentence.

Yup, in some cases in the US if you are pardoned or your conviction overturned on appeal you are on paper. Report, drug test, it is not like you are free. I coudn't believe this shit when I first heard about it but it turns out to be true.

The US has zero high ground here or in anything else. A bunch of fucking crooks to the core. And there IS NO government in Egypt that the US does not support, it has strategical value. If, for example ISIS were to take over there, there would be US bombs falling I guarantee. It's just that the US oil companies preferred a different regime. They just didn't put enough money into it.

Actually I might have to reconsider that. If ISIS is anti-Taliban and Taliban is anti-poppies for opiate production, and the US wants opiates, hmmm. Does Egypt have some semi-sandy soil ?
