LOL, that's ignoring actual history, since it was a republican legislature that passed that amendment after the SCOTUS pointed out to them twice that that their two prior laws passing individual income tax were unconstitutional. So, they passed it, Taft signed it and overwhelmingly republican state legislatures ratified it, and the first republicans who passed and signed the first illegal bill were those in the days of Abe Lincoln. Anyone can pretend what they want, and believe me, nutsuckers do constantly, but the real history and facts speak quite clearly. No, its you that are ignoring history. Again, the 16th amendment said the US government could set up direct taxation. But the law so doing was done so by Wilson and a democrat party in 1913. And for the record, its a stretch to call Taft/Roosevelt republicans when they split from the republicans to form the progressive party....
