Cell Phone Privacy

The national directory of cell phone numbers is about to be published. Once this happens, telemarketers will have access to your cell phone number! This will be even more annoying than the calls to your "regular" phone because in addition to being a disruption, these calls will also use your cellular minutes!

If you wish to avoid this, register your cell number on the National Do Not Call list as soon as possible. You can do this by going on-line to http://www.donotcall.gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you wish to register.

Take care,

Well, for some of us it won't be much different then normal. Telemarketers have been calling my cell phone since I got it over three years ago.

It will (make a difference) if you go there and register your number. That's the whole point.

Take care,

I will try again to register my number, maybe it just did not work with cell phones before.

It's not enough they stuff your mail full of ads... your websites full of popups... your email full of spam... you voicemail full of computer calls (please stay on the line we have an important message) an adware that installs itself on your computer they also have to bug you on your cell... its not bad enough I could be giving myself brain cancer with it but now you have to deal with that. the do not call list doesn't work for charities/bill collectors also... and believe me they will call...

See, I consider all of those to be telemarketers. Maybe that's why it didn't work for me
