FD, there for a while, a lot of us were on K2, which was actually pretty cool, at least forum-wise. Can't say anything about the dating.

Influx? I'd probably agree. On my rough research, there used to be >< 100 submissive males joining A DAY from the US. Who knows what it is now. I'd probably ask RS because his methods are better than mine.

Crumpets may annoy folks, sometimes, but he does start threads. People WANT to talk to him. Granted, he doesn't need to do repeated threads regarding wardrobe malfunctions, but he is trying. So, it's really not all bad.

I joined K2 when it started. Ishtar invited me with a lot of other CM people.
I often can't login.
Not because of any other reason than I can never remember my password or login name.
Last time I looked on there, the forums were pretty dead and the influx was virtually zero.
I just gave up with it. It wasn't worth my time and effort to look at it.
Plus the fact that I really hate purple and I can't stand the way the site looks.

I used to see new meat on CS every few minutes.
If I was away for a few hours, I'd come back to several pages of new people.
These days, I'm lucky to see maybe 2 or 3 new ones in a whole day.

Crumpets used to be ok.
The last 6 months or so he's gone mega-overboard with his stuff.
I wouldn't mind if he made sense most of the time but lately he doesn't.
I think he needs new meds. I seriously do.
Yeah, he's trying..... very trying!
I just wish he'd tone down his over-enthusiastic use of mega-long posts and gazillions of pictures and irrelevant diagrams trying to explain stuff he can't get to grips with.
It's not a discussion - it's him banging his opinion to the exclusion of virtually everything else.
It's seriously making me want to leave the site - he's often worse than the socks and trolls with his shit.

Ishtar and Ullr did a lot for it.

Wish I still had that thread that I started on mummification because that turned out to be one of the hottest scenes of my life.

I liked K2, but it is a long haul to get the site going and even break even. And its thankless.

They worked hard on it.
The site was a credit to their hard work and devotion.

I dunno, I just didn't "click" with it like I do with CS even tho the same people were on it.
The colour didn't help; I cringed at every page I saw. It hurt my eyes and brain.
They'd fix my login, I'd save the URL and password and next time it wouldn't let me login.
That went on for months before I gave up on it completely.

The few times I've looked at Fet, there's nothing happening over here.
All the threads I looked at that might have been of interest to me in my locality were often old, very old, as in no new posts for over 2 years. It was very disheartening.
Most of the buttons didn't work for me either.
Many people tried to help. Last time someone tried to get me to add them as a friend, they'd say "click X button" and at my end it was just plain text - not clickable.
Dunno what was wrong. I tried several machines here and it was just the same so it wasn't the machine.
So I gave up on Fet too.

Meh. When I get bored I go on the ebay forums or the ones on Tom's Hardware.
Between those two and Alt and CS, I'm pretty busy all day.

I find the site extremely slow for almost everything. About the only thing that isn't slow is reaching the forums from the profile page. Even making a post is slow, it takes a minute or two for it to post.

As an example, that last post took 72 seconds from when I clicked OK to post.

I must drive you nuts with the purple. LOL.

Usually, if I'm posting, I'm doing emails elsewhere as well. Even with longer fingernails, I type faster than most people.

Seventy two seconds just don't matter to me.

Absolutely agree. Loading on the Profile side and posting on the forum side have been excruciatingly slow endeavors since CS fell away from CM. Hardly a day goes by that I do not have a problem.

Well, I am not complaining about anything.

I still love CS the best among all kink platforms. Fetlife drives me nuts, I just hate their formatting, and the style and everything.

CS got alot of things right, but too bad, yea, it's always lagging and slow and up and down. But still, I don't know any better.

My favourite part is how they randomly flash people's profile according to your search criteria everyday, and it shows all the necessities that is needed for you to decide if you'd be interested in getting to know that person.

I think over all, it's format is pretty good for finding a kink partner.

I usually play Solitaire when I am on CS so it doesn't really bother me much, but I decided to actually time the lag.

Vology Acquires Bayshore Technologies to become the first Hybrid SuperVAR (TM)

OLDSMAR, Fla., Jan. 2, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Vology and Bayshore Technologies, two leading technology providers, have combined to create a technology solutions company with more than 200 employees that is expected to generate more than $140 million in revenues in 2013. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“With the addition of Bayshore Technologies’ service delivery capabilities, Vology has created what is best described as a Hybrid SuperVAR, a unique business model that allows enterprises to maximize their IT infrastructure budgets through one relationship by combining the best qualities from traditional VARs, super VARs and certified pre-owned offerings,” says Barry Shevlin, CEO of Vology. “This is a combination that is unique within the industry, providing minimal customer overlap, complementary vendor portfolios, complimentary services and similar corporate values. We cannot be happier about this.”

CRN coined the term “super VAR” as a full-service technology provider with a national reach and with annual revenue greater than $100M. Other typical qualities of a super VAR include inventory management, eCommerce capabilities and logistics expertise. Vology’s Hybrid SuperVAR business model goes beyond the capabilities of a super VAR by providing complete lifecycle management to help customers stretch their IT budgets and maximize the value of older equipment. Shevlin further explains that the power of the Hybrid offering, in conjunction with hyper responsive customer service by technically knowledgeable staff and operational excellence in warehousing, logistics, integration and configuration, maximizes value for customers.

The new company will continue to be known as Vology, with Bayshore Technologies serving as the firm’s professional services delivery division. Shevlin will continue as CEO and Peter Anderson, CEO of Bayshore Technologies, will be senior vice president of Vology.

“It’s not often you have the opportunity to combine two such well-respected companies whose businesses complement each other so well,” says Anderson. “We’ve known Barry and his team for many years, have the utmost respect for the organization they’ve built and are very pleased to become a part of it.”

Founded by Shevlin in 2002, Vology has since grown rapidly, being named to the Inc. 500/5000 list for seven consecutive years and having tens of thousands of customers across the United States and in 85 countries, with an extensive customer base in Canada and Latin America. Bayshore Technologies, founded in 1997 by Anderson, Frank Mann and Winston DuBose, is a Citrix Platinum Partner that has received such awards as the VAR500/SP500 award, HP Americas Partner in Excellence award and Microsoft SE Partner of the Year award. The firm provides professional services for clients’ entire IT infrastructure centered on virtualization, networking, server and storage solutions. It also provides a complete Managed Services offering for the SMB market. Mann will become chief technology officer of Vology and DuBose will share responsibilities as vice president of business development with Vology’s John Medaska.

“We expect to create more than 100 new, high paying jobs over the next two years, with both entities accelerating their strong growth trajectories,” says Shevlin. “Through this combination, we now have an even stronger commitment to customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and community service that has distinguished both of our firms.”
