i heard said recently that throughout history, there are have been 10 contested conventions and in those conventions, 7 out of 10 times the candidate with the most delegates going in did not win the nomination.

To many people :) he is inciting violence, and yes, that has something to do with other peoples rights to free speech and more.
But the majority of the people havent spoken.... the majority of a very small number of people have given him a lead.... that is all.
I said UNLESS He is serious about calming down his loons((from his base) who certainly arent the majority of any republicans who even support him,)he will have more than blood on his hands.
No I dont think it will is over the top. But we shall see...I hope he stops his baiting. Of all kinds.
I just dont think he will. yet

Rally protesters violating federal law

Signed by Obama in 2012. I've highlighted the entertaining sections of HR 347.
https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/112/hr347/text
Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011:
Section 1752, Restricted Building or Grounds:
"
a) Whoever--
(1) knowingly enters or remains in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority to do so;
(2) knowingly, and with intent to impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions, engages in disorderly or disruptive conduct in, or within such proximity to, any restricted building or grounds when, or so that, such conduct, in fact, impedes or disrupts the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions;
(3) knowingly, and with the intent to impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions, obstructs or impedes ingress or egress to or from any restricted building or grounds; or
(4) knowingly engages in any act of physical violence against any person or property in any restricted building or grounds;
or attempts or conspires to do so, shall be punished as provided in subsection (b).
"
"
(c) In this section--
(1) the term restricted buildings or grounds means any posted, cordoned off, or otherwise restricted area--
(A) of the White House or its grounds, or the Vice President's official residence or its grounds;
(B) of a building or grounds where the President or other person protected by the Secret Service is or will be temporarily visiting; or
(C) of a building or grounds so restricted in conjunction with an event designated as a special event of national significance; and
(2) the term other person protected by the Secret Service means any person whom the United States Secret Service is authorized to protect under section 3056 of this title or by Presidential memorandum, when such person has not declined such protection.
"
Hmmmmm you were all cheering when bernie got protested..
Plus the chicago incident, protesters had tickets to the event.

Before the days of primaries they were all brokered. the last successful brokered convention was FDR. I dont think than any brokered convention of republicans, has led to the front runner being put off, with the possible exception of Reagan GHW Bush, I dont remember the numbers, but if I remember, nobody was really close in any case, I have not looked, but would not be surprised to know that Reagan was a clear front runner, and would not be surprised to know he wasnt. I think that was the year where there were so many not a one of them had any numeric superiority.

I dont think that in the case where there was a high and low in the brokered convention and the compromise candidate was not the front runner of the bunch, that they successfully won office either. Thats fuzzy stuff though, and I am not real clear on it, just saying I cant think of it happening.

Yeah, but thats what nutsuckers are all about, ignoring the majority, what the fuck did they expect?

gee mr whiz, except for there isn't a true majority when the vote has been, and will be split in so many ways. that's why there's that 51% threshold---but hey, any chance to throw in some "nutsuckers" no matter how unfairly the accusation, works for you right?

FR....I read this morning that carson endorsed trump because he promised him a position later on..
any thoughts?

Yes. Carson;s backing signals the start of the GOP lining up behind Trump. Carson would make a great vice president. Trump makes deals to get things done.

You didnt read the comment before and put that into context. Over 51% want legislation on guns, thats a majority, nutsuckers ignore. Over 51% want pro choice, nutsuckers ignore, over 51% want Obamacare FIXED nutsuckers ignore.

I was extremely conservative in my use of nutsuckers, until i was factlessly accused of unfair accusations, because if it is, I would think they could be credibly cited. And here is the thing, if the 51% have trump as candidate, there aint no accusation, its over and fucking done, suitcased, and if he is 100 short, there aint no accusation, except from nutsuckers.

That is true. Do you think that will be the case here if Trump has the majority?

I understand. But you know, I really think he is not baiting, I think he is stating and standing by his positions and he is not known for being patient with obstacles. He is an executive which means he is a politician but not in the Washington sense which also endears him to his followers and voters.

Well he has certainly bought off many many people, thats true, politicians around the country, and the world.
Of course he is baiting....
Where else has a guy been punched out and then arrested, while the puncher was watched saying "yes, if he comes back we might have to kill him? WE dont know if he is isis?"
You might think thats fun and dandy, I dont
where else has this happened in this election cycle?? people loved it here when bernie was pulled away from the mic during an early rally...
Trump has flip flopped/evolved/learned/changed on his positions since day one, oh and lied about them, even in the face of video proof.

He doesnt have what it takes, his skirting laws and criminal business behavior doesn't work in DC. They have laws and people watching you.
