PeonForHer -> I Don't Suffer Fools Gladly (3/16/2016 5:00:32 PM)

... I keep reading that line. I always think, 'Well of course you fecking don't. Who would?'

Is anybody, anywhere, proud to admit: "I'm very glad to suffer fools!"?

I don't suffer them at all.

Well the the Fellas don't announce it, but they do put up with me quite happily. :)

Someone described me as one who doesn't suffer fools gladly as though it was a character defect on my part. Kinda mystified me. This is what I mainly think about the suffering fools thing:

"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that"

WickedsDesire -> RE: I Don't Suffer Fools Gladly (3/22/2016 2:13:56 PM)

It’s a line typically used by fools who suffer their own kind gladly as they lack any capacity to tolerate anything else A vicious circle I call it; few ever break free from it as they revel in fool after fool who snaffles them up

They may utilize other sayings like:
Carpe Diem It actually means gather the day to those whom that concerns – who often get tattoos on their body of its, usually its women, who go through men faster than I do muffins (cinnamon today it’s a box of Thornton’s Chocolates my mum gave me, today, for Easter – look I have only had three of the tasty delights – not that the rest will make it to Easter.

What else usually their profiles says no cheats and liars and players and catfish and so on. It often says only that they consider their work done…sometimes they double it up with carpe diem and something about going to the gym 87 times a day…and no other text..and they have this curious thing if you look at their pictures on a dating site:

Picture 1 of them: in the boozer glass red something raised to the camera
Picture 2 of them: in the boozer glass blue something raised to the camera
Picture 3 of them: in the boozer two hands raised in a random position to the camera
Picture 4 of them: on an empty dance floor
Picture 5 of them: chucking themselves out of a plane
Picture 6 of them: some hacked scratched job of a tattoo, unhealed, and scabrous oozing desperation – usually what they get in return – fair trade if I was to be asked.

I have to say that I have been more tolerant of some people trying to treat me like a fool than I should have been. However, once I'm sure of things I have no issue about cutting people out of my life without wanting to go back.

DaddySatyr -> RE: I Don't Suffer Fools Gladly (5/1/2016 1:01:00 AM)

An interesting question, but one that begs an additional one: If one doesn't "suffer" fools, gladly, how does one take the time to try to help them not be quite so foolish?

Certainly, some are happy in their foolishness and they can be identified, as time goes by, but what about those that just need to be taken under a wing? Have we become so dis-connected that we relegate people to a life of blissful ignorance without even an attempt to help them better themselves? If we have, I pity us.

LilJuly76 Black pudding is delicious ( I like it on a roll with HP sauce.) And, because I have three cats, and quite mad of the heed, does not necessary make me a women. But I am willing to try a dress on, if anyone will send me one, and post a pictyure of it on here...with me in it...is a man of his word.

LilJuly76 Now, wickedpudding was declared a war crime by the Geneva Convention, and Waldorf salad. So I am obligated, by law, to keep my dangly jangly bits, locked up in a biscuit tin with a warning label
1. Never let, ever, that monster, that looms within wickeds pantaloons region, in the manner known as deep probe shuddering throb, see the light of day
2. May contain essence of muffin and reek of utter desperation.
3. Cannot guarantee it does not contain two huge nuts, easily mistook for coconuts, or orbiting satellites

Shall we marry now wench

DesFIP -> RE: I Don't Suffer Fools Gladly (5/2/2016 2:44:49 PM)

Michael, ignorance is not the same as foolishness. If someone expresses a desire to learn, that's not a sign of being a fool. Simply unlearned.
