Sadly, it begs the question of "Does he talk like that because of his intellect or the intellects of those he's speaking to?" Considering the asinine justifications I've heard fr why folk support him despite the lies and hate-mongering, it may be the latter, though I wish I could say it was the former.

A good many official forms and documents in many jurisdictions are designed for the same reading/comprehension level because that reaches the most people. It makes perfect sense for the Donald to do likewise just as does the latest member of the Bush-Clinton crime family, Hitllary.

I read another site mentioning that they had the same scores, and the reasoning. I cant disagree with it, but hils is slightly harder, you can see her frustration when some of the "dumb" shows up against her experience over the years...btw Im no fan... Donnie is making the most of it (the dumb). Of course he knows his business well, no doubt.
All practised speakers can do it. As we know..it works for a lot of people. all over the world. All the time.

The whole American (and western) political diaspora is supposed to be dumbed down and with the bar so lowered since 2000 and maybe even 1980...this becomes the new normal.

It has to be the latter. I know this because...

Termyn8or You’ve hurt my fragile little soul *sobs* Your not per chance related to Buffoonery (Trump) trampling on poor olde me and scything me down to size with your towering intellectual rebuttal...or are you just throwing sh*t. I knew you two were related rabble rouser. Monty Python's Life of Brian (watch for the rabble rouser bit and it’s a funny clip)

And who let him out of the Apery. It’s like planet of the apes I tell ye.

But back to Buffoonery (Trump)
Buffoonery “We are going to do something so good so fast and the world is going to respect us again” Prey tell us Donald what is this something- because the word something means a thing that is unspecified or unknown.

Buffoonery “He wants to give away our country folks" – who does he want to give it away too Donald? A race of pixies or aliens perhaps?.

Buffoonery We have political hacks for negotiating deals for billions and billions of dollars. Donald who are these hacks and what deals...buffoon likes to keep us waiting eh! not that he ever paid back any of his debts and best not let him near the piggy bank!

And that sums up pretty much everything I have heard him say. I am truly fascinated with this buffoon.

On a more serious note is he:
Doing this deliberately – nope. I have thought long and hard about that.
It’s how he is. I have known a few people like that in real life and they were usually feared by many. I just viewed them as dangerous people who should never be in a position of power or leadership. And to fuk with them and confuse them (always do so in front of the audiences that fear/believe it)you just need to ask them a question about what they are talking about. In this case Donald what do you mean by "something?" Then sadly you will come to the conclusion they have no idea what they are talking about.

I think his own party will stop him if not them then the American people.

Actually out of all the candidates I liked Sanders and what he said, but he was quickly declared a communist and will no doubt be shipped of to one of your gulags.

probably a bit of both but I can't be sure since I don't listen to whatever nonsense leaves his lips. having to listen to my own president is already too much for me. I'm quite sure each time he speaks the IQ of the area drops a couple dozen points and probably Donald Tramp causes a similar effect.

In 1965, the average American newspaper used a lexicon of around 400,000 words. By 2000, that had fallen to as low as 225,000 words in some areas. Today, many papers use a lexicon of as few as 150,000 words in an effort to avoid alienating less educated readers.
