I still hate Ben Affleck as Batman!

Why? Why? Why?

He doesn't fit the role!

On top of that, an overly emotional, impulsive, murdering rampaging Batman!

Ugh!

Anybody else seen it?

I am just warming up to Henry cavill being Superman though. I hated Man of Steel, but in this one, they somehow fix up his look much better! His looking more identical to how Superman should look like.

My son and I saw this last night. I thought that it was rather weird as a film. Surely two super heros could get in a room and flippin talk? but no. And surely everyone in the world could understand that superman was saving the world from the bad guys? but no.

So that makes a new film.

That being said; I thought the film was a little slow to start with, I though the the Lex character was played differently, and ok by someone I generally don't like. Shit gets broken lol and it's all alright as the film gets going. It's worth a watch.

I haven't seen anything besides clips, trailers, and commentaries but I get the impression they're building up to a Justice League movie. Why else would you bother involving Wonder Woman in a movie about Superman vs. Batman? Just please don't include the Wonder Twins (gag).

And Greta, I'm 100% with you on Ben Affleck. After the "Daredevil" disaster, I just can't get on board with him as any kind of superhero.

FR I think Ben Affleck did okay. In fact, while watching, I forgot that I was watching "Ben Affleck." Which is probably what actors aim for. So, though the movie surrounding him wasn't the best, and certainly people go into the movie having already made up their minds as to how they feel about him in that role,...I didn't find him completely unappealing as Batman. No comparision with Christian Bale, though. But still, I thought he held his own.

I actually liked Alfred, though, in Batman Vs. Superman. Different than he's been in the past. I don't know. I think I'd be okay watching an entire movie of those two. Superman....nah.

Regarding the movie, while I can't say that I thought it was a particularly good movie, it kept my interest up for the most part. My eyes always glaze over at long, drawn out fights, car chases, and shootouts, so at some point my interest dropped. But I did enjoy seeing these two from a different perspective. I would actually like to see a remake, without the bad story and directing choices (which I'll leave out for fear of spoiling).

I haven't seen it and I am willing to step up to the plate and say that Affleck as Batman is exactly why I'll be waiting for it to hit HBO. Keep in mind, I was one of the folks who went to the theater for "X-Men: Days of Future Past," so I'm not exactly adverse to superhero movies.

This. This. Totally this. (Completely all the way through the Wonder Twin comment.)

We already know that any association superhero movie has a decent showing at the box office, even if the movie isn't great. The Avengers turn out to be a decent success, so it completely makes sense to try to duplicate it, and Justice League has automatic recognition.

The problem is, my most memorable Ben Affleck role is him in Dogma, as this psycho avenging Angel. And I think he practically played the same character in Batman.

But I am a little sick also of DC direction of the superhero series. They mess up Man of Steel. It was sooo gawd damn boring and serious, it was horrible! Superman isn't this super duper serious character. His like a family friendly character!

I feel like, superhero movies are for kids! There are alot of difficult decisions, good situations, to show kids, how heroes make the noble choices, putting people above themselves.

Why make it so dark and so inappropriate for kids and so depressing. The world is dealing enough in real news with terrorists attack all over, I think super hero movies need to be lifting.

I don't think this is much of a spoiler. But Batman was jaded, given up on the justice systems, and decided to take matters into his own hands and perform his own justice to all the criminals in Gotham himself. He executes them all, and leave his mark to show that he done it.

Superman accidentally kill due to fallen buildings or to save an innocent life, and BatFleck and other humans was happily accusing him of being a murderer! Superman gave up on helping humans.

I just think Batman shouldn't be so irrational.

And while Ben Affleck is not the right face. But whoever wrote this, I don't like it.

But over all, for me, I still watch it in the movies, just for the sake of watching Batman and Superman fight each other.

I mean, I guess it's always exciting to see superheroes together in one movie.

Wonder woman was handled great though. And Aqua man looked fantastic!

Yeah, Dogma was a great flick. He had an up front but short part in a movie called Smokin' Aces that I think he did really well. He's got chops but he really needs a new agent...lol.

FR

The movies are based on the new 52 series of the DC comics, so unless you read the comics, yes Batman is darker now

Wonder Woman and Aquaman are glips as they have their own movies being released, wonder woman comes out next year and I don't think they have put out the release date for Aquaman yet.

My main issue with the movie is the portrayal of Lex Luther, they made him just stupid crazy looking, not mad genius crazy that would be more in line with the character.

Batmans issues with Superman isn't that he tries to do good, it is that he is the most powerful being on the planet with no way for us to truly stop him.

FYI Batman and Doomsday are the only two to ever kill Superman.

There was ONE Batman. There are no others.

It's no different (until Pierce Brosnan showed up as to 007)....there was....is.....only one 007 (even Pierce is just a secondary....but a decent one).

One.

Yea, Lex Luther, they try to make him like insane and crazy and unstable. A little more like the Riddler or Joker. That I don't get! Also, he looks tooo damn young!

Ben Affleck was actually pretty good. He nailed the world-weary playboy and righteous avenger sides of Batman pretty well and - not many people seem to realise this about Affleck - he's 6 foot 4. He's 3 inches taller than Henry Cavill, so Affleck in that suit looked pretty damn good.

Snyder's script was fucking awful. The whole movie was a setup for Justice League which is DC's attempt to do what Marvel has done so successfully. Based on this movie, they're NOT off to a good start.

Henry Cavill is an insipid drip. Superman plays like boyfriend material instead of the most powerful man on Earth with a conscience.
