I'm giving C4 a chance to see if they can do any better than the hash that the BBC had been making of it all. I gave up on last year, and have to say that I did not miss Hamilton's whinging at all, but there he was in the first race true to form. So far this first live race is proving to be rather good.

hi needles , ok it was mercs 1 and 3.

I do pay for Sky , thru Virgin, and it is worth it.

the F1 channel runs all day. when I have time .

I've followed F1 since Moss though not Fangio. The drivers are incredibly skilled today. The cars astounding. The racing SUCKS. Listening to Bernie criticize F1 for being exactly what he created is unbelievable black humor. Approaching Trump status.
Since aero, nobody Races anymore. As all the drivers say, you have to have a much faster car to even get close to someone, their wake unloads your aero downforce in turns so badly you ruin your tires trying to get close enough to pass. It was worse when Ferrari owned F1 and Pirelli built tires for and tested on the Ferrari team cars. Schumacher's Real skill was in making it look like any other team had a ghost of a chance.
Until all the aero is stripped from the cars, we won't know who is really fastest. The big money teams have simply faster cars. Except McLaren. The present rules mean the engines won't be allowed to be competitive. M-B is ahead and won't be seriously challenged till the rules force everyone to come up with new hardware. Ferrari got faster, so M-B just didn't back off quite as far as usual. Their development is just as good as anyones. Rosberg never even got close to a full effort lap once he put some margin in the early laps. Why would he? He managed the gap and concentrated on not making a mistake.

Loving F1 is like loving a sister or GF who is whoring for ice. You don't care any less, but you're heart sick about the choices being made. Most laid at Bernie's feet.

F1 athletes aren't even close on the world list. Lewis is only 15th, Fernando 17th, Seb is 21st, Kimi 32nd. Nobody else in F1 even made the top 100. Top race car drivers, easily. Dale Jr tops NASCAR at 55th. http://www.forbes.com/athletes/#/tab:overall

Unfortunately, it does not have the big fan base here in the US. They're saying that Circuit of the Americas is probably going to close.

I enjoyed the race. I worried that it would be lost due to adverts, and was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't. Considering the way F1 is at the moment it was a good fighting race. Some of the other tracks have become exceptionally tedious for the very reasons that epiphiny43 mentions. Still, as a Brit I was pleased to see Rossa win over Hammie lol

My statement is quite out of date as your link shows.
Senna (the highest paid f1 driver)was making about $50 million a year when he died, about 81 million in 2016 dollars. Far short of mayweather's 300,000,000.
