I guess the Republicans in Congress have nothing better to do with their time, eh?

Like....run the country? I predicted at the start of the current session of House members, that this group would accomplish....

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING OF USE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

After 17 months of House Republican bullshit, I am correct. Further, they are looking for something.....ANYTHING....to attack Democrats on. They can not attack them on a whole host of things, like foreign policy, domestic policy, or reality. I heard that many of those first time Tea Partier's in the House are leaving after this current session, to 'pursue other things in life'. No, the GOP realizes these morons have done absolutely nothing. That the Democratic challengers can more easily convince people whom are angered at Congress doing nothing, to vote for them. Since last time Democrats controlled Congress, SHIT GOT DONE! Don't believe me? Check out that Affordable Care Act!

It's good to see where you stand on this issue: a border patrol agent was killed yet you do not wish your precious political party any superficial harm.

bounty44 -> RE: Fast & Furious is back (4/9/2016 2:10:55 PM)

i think its helpful to post some stuff from the link so the reader can see just what an hyper-partisan hack joether really is:

quote:

Almost inevitably, Fast and Furious was a fiasco. It didn’t snag any big fish, and the ATF lost track of 2,000 guns, including two that were found after the 2010 murder of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. The dispute is not over whether Fast and Furious failed, but over who is to blame...

The House Oversight and Government Committee demanded documents from the administration. The White House refused, saying that it had already turned over enough material and made Holder available for hearings. Obama granted Holder the right to invoke executive privilege, infuriating the committee’s Republicans. [yeah, the truth doesn't really matter when its your team does it joether?] In an unprecedented move, the House held Holder in contempt, the first time a sitting attorney general had been chastised in that way.

...perhaps the documents will finally allow a clear picture of whether there was a vast conspiracy to cover up Fast and Furious or whether, as the White House insists, this was only ever the story of a few rogue agents.

Someone dead on the border and you think we should have a full congressinal investigation?

OK....Devil's Advocate....

Can you explain to me why we did not see the Republican Party investigate any of the 17 Benghazi-like events that took place during President George W. Bush's eight years in office? To the same level of effort and motivation as they 'attacked' the current President and Hillary Clinton on Benghazi?

No?

Then shut the fuck up!

Let's move on to issue #2:

Show me the location of....ALL...WMDs found in Iraq down to the square milimeter. This would be chemical, biological, and nuclear if your unclear to the subject. After all...3000 of our troops were killed in that conflict. Ten times that amount injured.

No? Don't got that info either?

How about the violations of the 5th, 6th, and 8th amendments during Bush's time in office? That would be those 'enemy combants' we 'took into custody under flimsy charges' and then proceeded to use 'Enhanced Interrogation Technigues' on. Tell me, as a BDSM person, is water boarding torture? Go ahead, try to tell me its not torture (nor a violation of the 8th amendment).

Why were they enemy combatants and not POWs? Because we would have to treat them better. Why should a Southern Christian asshole be nice to Muslims?

How about not questioning the sixty times your party tried to defund a project that allows tens of millions of Americans to have healthcare? Your party seems to have a problem when the Democrats tried to reduce military spending twice, but 'OK' with reducing the funding for the ACA 63+ times?

You try to mock me on not being accountable and responsible; Where is yours? Not even an ounce of outrage to what the GOP/TP has done to this nation. In fact, right now, one of the top two candidates running for your party's nomination is a fucking NAZI! The other is so completely unaware that he is in the United States; that we have laws that prevent him from seeking godhood.

You can not hold your party accountable nor responsible to crimes past or present for even a nanosecond!

You rest your case on nothing.

Obamacare isn't the gift from God that you think it is. It's not good legislation. It's not really helping, overall. So, I, for one, am extremely happy the GOP hasn't done anything to the level of Obamacare for the US. Extremely happy.

You're not likely to agree that a bill the GOP approves of actually improves our lives or our nation, so you want me to perform a miracle.

That is the problem you have: no evidence. Since you have no evidence, you resort to bullshitting! I'm just calling out your bullshit....

Americans died in those attacks. Where were all the Republicans, clawing and climbing over each other to start committees to investigate them? To drag the President, Vice President, and Secretary of State before these committees and try to interrogate them? The US History books show this did not happen a single time. Why? Because conservatives do not hold other conservatives to any level of accountability or responsibility with power.

How could you know if its a good law or not? 26+ million people; whom did not have healthcare before, now have access to it. First they actually have to have one....IN WRITING....for me to determine if it would be a better law. Saying "The GOP has a better healthcare bill" means nothing if there is not actual bill ready for a signature by the President of the United States of America.

The GOP's healthcare bill is much like those 'fair/flat tax' schemes that are brought up every so often. Light on details and heavy on bullshit. That you never seem to have a problem with these bills shows your inability to know what makes for "....good legislation."

That would be Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy; of the Starship NCC-1701 "Enterprise" of the Federation of Planets. Funny that you bring this up, since by that time, their healthcare system is levels beyond ours and has nearly removed the need for money (Capitalism being a 'dinosaur' concept by that time).

But that's all fiction,.....SCIENCE....fiction! Which means there is no way for you to be Mr. McCoy (nor Mr. S. Holmes). Most doctors feel the ACA is 'fine' but could be vastly improved upon (something most conservatives hate to hear). If the ACA was not established, many more people would be without coverage. As the rise of costs pushed even mid-sized companies to forgo giving healthcare as part of the employment package. Bankruptcies due to medical bills would not only be the #1 leading cause of bankruptcies in America; but would start raising everyone else's rates (thus forcing more people out of healthcare coverage). A vicious cycle. One you were not aware of at the time!

Seriously? It wasn't announced to the general public the attack was due to a YouTube video? After a few days, information comes out refuting the storyline.

All of that happened before the GOP started their witch hunt (and, yes, I do think it's a witch hunt, in it's figurative definition; I do not think Hillary Clinton is an actual witch, so don't accuse me of believing that). I do believe that a false explanation was knowingly given (a lie), though I don't think anything major happened to us because our government lied to us about it.

Nope. Didn't read it. Don't need to have read it, either. Healthcare costs are rising. Premiums are rising (which ties directly into the rising costs of healthcare). This didn't really make care affordable. It simply shifted the costs of an overly expensive health care system onto others. That doesn't actually make it affordable. Those preventive medicine processes aren't free. Their costs will get rolled into other categories. You and I both know that, and we both know that we both know that.
