"When your boss acts like he or she is perfect and tells everyone else they need to improve this is a sure sign that the leader isn’t great."

If one substitutes "boss" with dominant partner does it apply... or not?

To me it applies.

I see my dominant partner as my leader. My boss. Someone who has to be capable of leading me. Someone who I can respect and trust to make good decisions. That's what makes me want to follow someone, instead of taking over the decision making role.

I see leadership a big part of being a dominant. I can't imagine how does a dominant work without wanting to lead.

I've always been told that one of the signs of a good manager is that they don't know how to do every job...but they know how to find and trust the people that do.

M doesn't pretend to be perfect. appreciate him more for the fact that he doesn't pretend to have all the answers and will actually put in the effort to find the answers that he doesn't know.

This you'd have learned at a young age if you'd been a Marvel fan. Captain America is, in a sense, the least powerful of all the superheroes. But he's great as a leader (e.g. of the Avengers) partly because he knows what all the others can do. I always did think that was a fine principle.

If your boss believes he is perfect, he is not a leader. He is a tyrant.
If your dominant believes he is perfect, he is not a leader. He is at the least a narcissist - and probably also a tyrant.

I'm of the opinion this applies to every human being on the planet. No one is perfect and to act like you are doesn't make you a great human being...period.

I would want nothing to do with such a "man". Leadership to me is not loud, conceited and arrogant (and most often delusional lol).
He would not care how others conducted themselves. Sure, he may say a certain trait displayed by other so called "doms" is ridiculous or in bad form etc, but not in the context of "I am much better than him!"

Leaders LEAD.

Doing any variation of "you are going the wrong way" is not leading, it's back seat driving. The actual response of a leader is some variation of "Go this way". Note the word THIS, not that. You aren't pointing, you are leading.

Don't tell people they are doing things wrong, show them how to do it right.

No one is perfect....Not I, or any other one of you here, or there. But I am dammed close, not that the monster that looms within my pantaloons, can be dammed*running gag* and it actually see the light of day from time to time, not that it fitted in the last one. ( I never lie)

StrongSpirit Leaders LEAD.
filled me with much mirth. Generally the fractured or deranged lead for they are broken and feast on the power and approval of the weak

hell i hit okay before i got started on the ENTJs och well a story for another time :)
