It's a better world than when you were young.
1. They have online accredited colleges now. I'm going to get my degree from an accredited college and I'll never have to step into a classroom. You can get your Masters and PhD online too.
2. We have more friends and connections than you. I have over 100 friends on Facebook.
3. Many people in your generation didn't have the guts to stand up and fight. They fled to Mexico and Canada. Nowadays the military is full.
4. We are much more opened minded than your generation. Inter-racial dating, tattoos, legalization of pot, same-sex marriage, etc. You were so closed minded.
5. etc., etc., etc.

And yet you still can't get laid.

When someone tries to improve themselves by going to college, you play it down and say it's worthless
You bring up past posts and call people stupid and idiot.

Honestly, it's just so much easier to create a sock account so they don't have to put up with you. It's beyond my comprehension why you can't understand why people create sock accounts. I guess you just can't see yourself.

Sure sounds like complaining to me.

1) you assume that having Facebook friends is the same as having friends 2) you assume that quantity counts more than quality when it comes to friends and 3) You lose....I have close to 500 friends and thousands of followers on Facebook.
It sounds like you are belittling someone who has friends on Facebook. You say quality is better than quantity. Then you turn around and brag you have 500 friends and 1,000's on Facebook.

If you don't go to classes to learn how to interact socially AND learn the practical bits, your piece of paper is not worth wiping my ass on.
It sure sounds like you are belittling someone who is trying to improve themselves.

That's not anger. It's an observation. And actually, there are multiple articles written about the problems that employers are having with the "trophy for showing up" generation.

You made that statement like someone my age couldn't achieve having 100 Facebook friends. I just showed you that you're wrong. And yes it's true....Facebook friends aren't the same as having friends in real life.

The first one, I stand by.
An awful lot of youngsters these days don't have a clue and are of the 'me, me, me' brigade and think the world owes them a living and a life.

As for the second one, I'm not belittling someone trying to improve themselves.
What I am saying is the method of doing it isn't worth the end result because it doesn't cover half the subject matter (learning social interaction and teamwork); and IMHO, is the most important part.

And we also complained about the older generations - just as you're doing.

As for me, I don't complain about the younger generations all that much. Despite what many are saying in this thread, our generation wasn't that much better. We may have even been worse in some ways.
