So today claimants won 2 billion dollars against Iran.

Sounds great eh? Until you realize that according to the Iran Nuclear deal US tax payers pay that claim.

Iran nuclear deal - the disaster that keeps on giving.

As usual I am afraid, you don't have all of the facts and it again also seems, in the interest of partisan angst.

Actually all of the claims against Iranian assets (i.e., their money) are still legally up in the air but with this ruling...are now descending. One such claim was paid by the US Treasury but the single case did result in at least one successful lien by the DOTreas. against those assets.

All of the remaining claims against those assets...remain up in the air. The SCOTUS ruling in fact allows for those cases to go forward and also in fact gives hope for future claimants and with experts saying the US Treasury will either in fact not be paying any claims or if they do, can file future successful liens against those assets. HERE

Notice of course that absolutely nothing was done at all by either the Reagan admin. or the Bush I or II admins. in the interest of those claimants.

Again your defense to a stupid obama action is .. blah blah bush. Blah blah Reagan.

You are obfuscating the issue. The supreme court allows the case to go forward. Upon a successful judgement the US government is obligated to pay it. Period.

Well that's simply not true as my link explains.

Actually while your link is interesting and a good read it actually says nothing about my contention :

That the Iran nuclear deal requires the United States government to recompense any claims against it

There is not a point because Phydeaux, per usual, didn't bother to read the FUCKING TREATY. At 90 pages long, it really is not that tough to handle. In fact, half of those pages holds the actual treaty terms. But for Phydeaux, that is still way to long.

Further, Phyedeaux hates it because President Obama created it. Had a Republican handled this, we would not hear one peep or sound of Phydeaux.

All this is, is lame conservative bullshit. Fishing for something.....ANYTHING....to attack President Obama and Democrats. Its 100% political and 0% a decent argument. Its basically Benghazi in a different packaging scheme.

Actually, contrary to you and the ACA Mr "obamacare doesn't have premiums" - I have read the treaty. What was pubicly available of course.
Which is why I can state categorically that the treaty requires the us to compensate Iran for any judgements against it.

No, judgements against Iran come out of Iran's piggy bank. They fuck up, its their problem.

How about you show me where in the treaty on which you speak....

While we are discussing "reparations" why is the big eared punk trying to shield the saudis from the same sort of thing vis-a-vis the 9/11 issue?

I imagine because they want to retain the partnership with the sauds.

Personally, I'd rather the information were out. And I'd rather Americans be able to sue.

Should those affected by our involvement in the sandbox be allowed to sue the amerikan government/taxpayer?
