I feel you. Bowie and Prince were innovators and pioneers.
Heard "Purple Rain" on the radio this morning at work and wept a little.
RIP Purple One.

All my days are sad and full of me leaking the promise of my delish cum on all women kind. Woe unto the house of muffins indeed Now, give me a women and I will spray unto its body a shower of magnificence *they call it muffin boarding* the Geneva Convention and Waldorf Salad have declared me woe unto the house of muffins.

That is neither here, nor there. I will wager prescriptions drugs. A millionaire with more money than many of us know what to do with, ever. And he shagged more hot totty than I ever will – and that’s where we differ as I desire the one, and many plates of scones.

A musical genius he was not, 30 albums and all bar one utter shite, nor did he want for loot, or hot totty.

Now, Bowie was a loss and I do not particularly like him – but I know insane genius when I see/hear it

Prince me fav song

I can't say that I was a massive fan, but When Dove Cry is most certainly my favourite track of his that he sang, and then I have ones that I like that he wrote for other people too.

His passing at such a young age is sad, but what is worse is that I've heard it's linked to an OD :-(

Now he really is the artist formerly known as........

Okay...lmao.. Just about wet my knickers with this one. Still laughing...the shock value element.

I was secretly in love with Prince in 1985. He pulled off mind blowing stuff back then. His uniqueness was intoxicating to my young self.
My very favorite of Prince in the day.

I see becoming addicted to painkillers as different than someone addicted to heroine or crack or other illegal drugs.. When you are in pain its really easy to depend on painkillers, and you can easily forget that you just took a pain pill and then take too many & od.. His pain was, apparently, due to performing and jumping off in heels and how hard it was on his body, causing him to need hip surgery.. I wish so badly that he didnt do that, he was so amazing without having to do acrobatics, but i can see why he did, wanting to be the amazing performer people came to see.. it only takes one bad fall or landing to cause you pain for the rest of your life. I had a bad fall when i was 28 and it continues to be a major problem, sometimes very painful (but i refuse to take anything stronger than ibuprofen, although that can be bad if you take too much)..

I've lived with constant pain since I was 13. First it was exactly like being in full stage labour, but then I also got ME/CFS on top of that, I suffer chronic migraines that last for several days and several times a month, I have a condition in my chest that gives as much pain as a heart attack, I have trigeminal neuralgia, and I have shot knees and ankles and well as nerve damage in my back from riding tapped horses over the years. Due to another condition I can't actually take pain killers anymore, but I'd stopped taking them before I was told that as I realised that they weren't actually active anyway, and I have to have a crash team on stand by if I need a general. I do take some pills, like massive dosed of a drug that is actually for epilepsy as a preventative for the migraines, and because of how ME works I can also forget whether I've taken doses, or not. You get a pill box. It's a simple thing really, unless you're an addict, and then dosage doesn't actually matter anymore.

I of all people get pain, but you choose your poison regardless of what it is, and where it comes from. It's a very sad state however it happens, but what I notice is that it very often depends on whom the person is as to how people react to their addicts.

At this point, we simply do not know whether addiction was a factor in his death.

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: RIP PRINCE (4/26/2016 10:08:50 AM)

Apparently he had no will. Things are going to get messy.

I have to admit it crossed my mind. Most people's hearts don't 'give out' in their late fifties anymore. It didn't have to be a *current* addition for there to be a certain amount of wear and tear. (Sounds awful when I say it like that.)

Wow. That's an understatement.

That seems almost weird to me. At 57, with that many assets, a certain amount of money, definitely the music, and so on, you'd think he would have had a will.

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: RIP PRINCE (4/26/2016 11:23:08 AM)

Especially for somebody like him who was such a good businessman about his career, but that's what the news is reporting that he had no known will.

Almost inconceivable, isn't it?

needlesandpins -> RE: RIP PRINCE (4/26/2016 2:21:41 PM)

I thought he was a JW, and that it was all going to them.

As for addiction and hearts; the love of my life took drugs. Not in huge amounts, and no more than ecstasy, but it's why I refused to be with him. I then met my ex, and shortly after I had my son I saw said love. He was totally different to the person I knew. He'd stopped doing the drugs, cut his hair, and started body building because for some unknown reason he thought this is what I wanted. It wasn't. I wanted him just as he had been, but without the drugs. He was dead at 32 of a heart attack caused by the drugs he had taken, and then some stupid supplement taken from the gym that wasn't a steroid as such, but killed him anyway 8 years after he stopped taking the drugs [>:]

All I have seen is that the man was up for 157 hours without sleep, doing his tours and the flu? has that been changed? That WILL kill.
THe will will make things messy its a damn shame

mnottertail -> RE: RIP PRINCE (4/26/2016 2:32:31 PM)

law in mn it will be split among his siblings (including half-siblings)

I guess at 57 you still are of an age where you think you will live forever, and sort of put that will thing off, not wanting to think about having to study for your finals.

angelikaJ -> RE: RIP PRINCE (4/26/2016 3:13:08 PM)

FR
I had a friend die at the age of 34 of a non-drug induced heart attack.
It does happen.

I've done that just with toothache before now. It's easy: the pain blots out the memory of having taken the painkiller. You want so much to believe you've not taken it ... so you do.

Strewth - really? That's really shocking.

littleclip -> RE: RIP PRINCE (4/26/2016 5:25:38 PM)

there are alot of things not known at this time like the lab reports. staying awake for that long would severely tax the body and the apparent history of drug use and dependence its likely his heart just gave out its common with long term stimulant use have young soldiers needing a heart transplant due to heavy use
