The building of a bridge does not equate to building a nation. Building a nation on the backs of blacks is a metaphor for the exploitation of African slaves during the first eighty years of the nation and previously in the colonies. Without black enslavement it is dubious a robust nation would have evolved from the colonies, imo.

I have seen an estimate that there are more than 35 million real slaves being exploited in the world today. Two wrongs, 35 million wrongs do not make a right. I hear you. I included wage slaves in my comments. The question is: why do workers keep voting for the two parties who are agents of the moneyed classes?

Student loans are another tragedy. The banks are bulging at the seams. Yes, they are whites. Does that mean blacks cannot get loans?

I had in mind the civil rights movement in the 60s and the draft board break-ins that occurred later. Then in Media, PA a small group of young people broke into an FBI office (1971) and stole all the files. They discovered papers that implicated the FBI in domestic surveillance and infiltration of the civil rights groups and the anti-war groups, called Operation Conintelpro. This info was revealed By the Washington Post. The kids were gutsy and never caught despite hundreds of FBI agents who descended on the region. They revealed themselves forty years later in a book.

Uhm, no, I don't think so. I think their action was aimed at pro-life people who do nothing but bitch about abortions, but don't adopt kids as an alternative. Just my opinion.
