So let me get this straight

You think daily kos, and an editorial by Elliot spritzer are reliable, unvarnished news sources?

You think HR3808 is somehow relevant when it was vetoed? Somehow you think a bill which passed a democrat congress and had numerous democrat sponsers is somehow a republican fault.

News flash. Spitzer was going after banks where other agencies had jurisdiction. The SEC, the OCC, and dozens of other agencies had more staff, more expertise and more experience in dealing with banking matters.
The SEC twice asked him to quit, as he was queering established investigations. Spitzer was running for office - he was the future of the democrat party. He was hotdogging - and he got slapped down in a turf war.

I'm all for splitting the banks up. But to paint this as a republican endeavor - when the donations were strongly democrat - is ridiculous.

I could go more in depth - but since you see no need to answer any of my points, nor shall I respond further to yours.

Maybe because there was no question, just a dumb dig at Republicans.

Was it a dumb ding?

How many on that side of the aisle think that the constitution begins and ends with article 2? A significant number (including presidential candidates and their supporters want to wipe their ass with the rest of the document.)

You calling it a 'dumb ding' shows your lack of intelligence.

hmm, the attitude and sentiment behind the language is reminiscent of Thompson.
