In this case, I missed something obvious and I very much appreciate your pointing it out to me.

Well, we'll split it in half. Usually, I'll give credit when somebody has taught me something, but in this case, I'm at a loss. Quite helpful to me at the time, however.

He thinks we are all one and the same person LP.
His simple mind cannot see that we are separate people with the same PoV that doesn't agree with him.

Unfortunately, like his teaching style, his logic is usually unfollowable and makes no sense to most people.
He might have an idea of what he's saying but he only spouts one side of the story like a demented salesman on steroids and doesn't have the talent to explain it to those who aren't as savvy as himself.

He can only speak in technobubble and gobbledegook which most don't speak and obviously cannot follow.
And I don't think we'll ever get to cure him of that quirk.
It's just the way he is - goes round the sun to reach the moon.
What is very unfortunate though, is that he tars everyone with the same 'stupid' brush just because they can't follow his style of explanation with complicated pictures and lack of clear expression.
He thinks his posts are simple to understand and fails to see why others cannot see it.
He just doesn't have the knack/talent of being a good teacher. It's as simple as that.

I thought aliens had abducted you, Oh, they are really ganging up on you on this one for reasons that escape me.

For many threads/posts crumpets does/contributes a long, nae vast, amount of time..and for such a limited audience and I am always careful to remind him, occasionally of a few things: Occam's razor
Simple it down if someone require help we give it in ways they understand and in-depth
And crumpets is an awesome user name

That aside I have never tried Opera
VPN I have no thoughts, here or there, other than privacy went the way of the dodo many epochs ago...worth it own thread

As for the two of you who are it regarding sock profiles - I have no thoughts either way regarding both of you on the forums, I cannot speak for on the site. And i have no reason to look at either of you three closely.

While I agree that a person should be assessed by what they write on the forums (and we've got some humdingers of examples of this on the forums these days) the implication that you're trying to make out of this doesn't fly.

Do you want to know a really weird fringe benefit of being an insomniac? You learn people's posting habits. It's this weird trivia you pick up on without really trying. When other people have sleep issues or their posting habits suddenly shift, I'm usually the first to know.

I think you're off on that one, too. There's not exactly a plethora of interesting content around here these days. You really did, more or less accuse them of being the same person. They're not. To the best of my knowledge (and I'm not basing it on a guess) FD really is in the UK. That means you were not exactly correct in the accusation.

This time, it's your mistake. Apologizing for that mistake wouldn't kill you.
