That's fucking awful. I mean, I realize that accidents will happen, but I really think that a lot more effort should be put into preventing them. Though until we know what caused this one we won't know if it was preventable. I think we really should be trying to minimize the amount of off-shore drilling we do.

Good for them. here in Ontario prescriptions of any sort are not covered by the provincial health plan (OHIP), so getting it can be somewhat problematic for lower income people. I know it has always been a major part of my budgeting each month, and you often have to shop around to find a clinic that will provide you with the pills at an affordable cost. Though there is some talk of the Feds instituting some sort of Pharmacare plan to cover prescriptions. I believe Quebec already covers birth control.
Though I do take exception to one line in the article "Family planning is essential for women’s rights". I think it is equally essential to men and women, it is essential to human rights.

Fucking pathetic really, but the anti-abortionists will try anything they can to do an end run around the law in order to try to make the procedure as difficult and unpleasant as possible for those that seek it. For example In New Brunswick it is technically legal to get an abortion on demand, but they have closed all the clinics and only authorized something like two hospitals in the whole province, so it is effectively nearly impossible to get one for most of the people there. Regarding the butler and the nuge.. I disagree because, the nuge has already had the secret service knock on his door about threats to the Pres. The butler...well again, calling for harm to the president publicly is a no no.

The gulf Spill was a major downer for me after hearing that the big oil companies had pulled out of arctic drilling, because it couldnt be done safely.
The methane leak in California went on for how many days before it was plugged>
Shell last year was ordered to pay 18 billion for the other gulf accident.
The sheen on this oil spill is already 2 miles long so I think that regulations need to be firmer placed to make the stupid bastards actually give a damn about what their leaks are doing.
There is also news this week of A gorgeous spot in Virginia being contaminated with fracking water.
There is so much corruption and ass kissing going on its sickening.
Nestle is trying to buy up fresh water in Ontario to sell to customers in bottles. according to their head guy fresh water is not a right.
You may already have gathered my thoughts about abortion and roe v wade being eroded, so I agree with you, Altho I wasnt aware that PEI and NB is so restrictive.
Regarding Trum, and anti abortion, the man, by the time the election comes around will have at least four points of view on every issue.
Hes done it with abortion, hes done it with his tax returns, hes done it with almost everything, he is even softening his call to ban muslims until he can figure out what is wrong, now softened to "oh it was only a suggestion".
Now hes upset cos he cant ban media from the convention AND apparently caught pretending to be his own publicist, LOL its irrelevent, but amusing that so many stupid buy his crap.
Oh, Shel adelson has now decided he is willing to contribute a large part of his 100million republican fund...According to some sources, Trump estimates he may need a billion for the campaign.
