Don't fear the date...Mom was born on Friday the 13th years ago.

Black cat crossed my path (several times) and got my lottery tickets today.

Hope she just ate too much, too fast and hasn't caught a bug, poor baby.

She seems OK since, has kept everything down since so I suspect it was nothing.

Yeah, babies do a lot of puking. That's why you see people put a little towel over their shoulder when they burp them after feedings. That's what I was going for, moving her from the boob to my shoulder when she just puked as she was going by my face.

You should have left it till later in the day before expounding your views to her on the common failing of both capitalism and orthodox Marxism to address their lack of appreciation of the spiritual dimension, TDC.

Ive been known to go out of my way to invite bad luck(not just the boyz)
I
've been known to walk into ladders, but then I walk into a lot of things
I tend not to walk under many things slowly.
I love black cats, so that doesnt bother me, but then Ive been accused of being a witch, so I take it as a compliment.
I DO throw salt over my shoulder...
For years I thought an itchy palm meant you were coming into money, until I got it seen to and it was just psoriasis.
I wont watch a funeral hearse go out of sight.
I cannot abide red and white carnations in a hospital setting. Even red and white flower of any mix bothers me. (that was weirded into me when I started nursing.)
I dont remember friday the 13th being important to me, just as a reason for having a shitty day.
But then my youngest was born on friday the 13th, and he hasnt been bad luck ever.

I have always been freaked out by cats, but strangely I have been adopted by several black cats that have insisted they own me, so I can't say that I find them bad luck. I worked in care for six years where I saw more than enough of my residents get close to death and see cats that were not there to understand why the Egyptians have such a thing about them.

I always salute a funeral hearse, but that comes from my riding days of always standing my horses out of the way as they pass, and saluting them as they did so. It seems to have always been appreciated, and I still do the same now when driving. My sons were always told to do the same, and my step-son has his own business driving so he does the same and has passed it on to his step children too.

As for Friday the 13th; it all depends on your prospective doesn't it. I'm not a Christian, so that's out, I don't care about the Knights Templar, so that's out, I can't think that anything bad has ever happened to me on one of these dates, I'm actually Greek and so my freaky day is Tuesday, not Friday, but it's governed by Ares, the God of War, and my birth God, so all in all I'm reckon I've got it all pretty balanced out lol

I've sort of worked out my own superstitions. E.g. if I walk under a ladder, the bad luck is cancelled if I walk under it on the way back, too. And my very own: seeing a fox is always good luck.

Nah. In general, I have just the slightest, uneasy feeling about Friday the 13ths. I'll be inclined to do business-type deals the next day, for instance. And just a whiff of ease when midnight has passed.

I'm not especially superstitious, but yesterday was a drag.

I'm sure it was, DC. Everyone in America had to put up with the tiresome chore of a bloke in a funny face-mask following him/her around trying to hack him/her to death.

I think the absolute, total, worst thing to do on any Friday 13th is to have sex. In *all* the films and the books, it's always the people who've chosen to have sex who get horrifically killed first. Especially if they're females who've got drunk and have good tits.

Basically, females who are drunk and have good tits should *not*, *ever*, have sex on any given Friday 13th. Just stick to furtive fondling, snogging and BJs. Avoid anything squelchy.

Only if you're doing it in a communist and thus rather disgusting way, TDC.
