This has me a little baffled, as I have travelled all over Australia and slept in rest-stops, caravan parks and beside the road and I have never had this problem. I think VD ( sorry, VG) must be picking and choosing his rest stops and I also have a feeling they might not be in Australia. I have not seen any six hour limits anywhere yet. Maybe there are but I have never found them. I do know there are places where it is not allowed to stop overnight but that usually only applies to caravans or campervans. Also, we don't have any highways that we term 'Interstates' as far as I know

Nor me Bama, nor me smile. I know we have a large population of gays in this country but I have usually found them to be non-intrusive and non-aggressive. Do you think maybe V.D. is using this thread as a bit of wish fulfilment ? He probably found those rest-stops somewhere on the highway between Melbourne and Hobart. It's a bit damp there but notorious for some very fishy types.
