More likely Jack Daniels. :)

It's easy to see her point of view. I just did it. I picked up a litre bottle of vodka and looked through it. It's kind of distorted but makes for lots of pretty colours

she already wanted to challenge me or me to challenge her ( I'm unsure which) on another thread. I was going to accept as long as I get to name the weapons and the place *smile*

Yes, I saw that, she is out there tonight.

Dvr22999874 -> RE: True American ? What is a 'true' American ? (5/28/2016 9:18:17 PM)

That damn keyboard keeps shifting on her and her fingers feel like salamis. I would reckon that right now, she could probably be one of those people who throw themselves at the floor....................and miss.

I know you hate me bitch, but if you ever get down this way we ought to try some of that Jack Daniels and channel some of my delusions.

LOL

I think the way the primaries are run by the parties have alot to do with this. I have said many times that most people do not for FOR anyone, they vote AGAINST the other. I think a Trump/Sanders runoff would be an excellent social experiment.

And fuck what they say. Their actions reveal their ideologies. You know I haven't watched a single debate or any campaign ads but I bet I can better tell you what each of them will do once in office. The leopard does not change its spots. They will not do what they say. They cannot do what they say. And the people are so stupid that they do not know they are not electing a dictator. They think that in January 2017 either their taxes are goig to double or abortion becomes illegal. That is not how it works.

You think Obama didn't really want to close Gitmo ? I am sure he did, even if not for humanitarian reasons but to fulfill a campaign promise. Surely doing this in his first term would have boosted his nu,ber for the second. But he didn't need the numbers because the republicans brought out their usual host of fucking aloof clowns who should not be allowed near happy meals, let alone that red button. How the fuck did they EVER think anyone would vote for McCain or Romney ? And that is what I mean when I say they did not want to win. They want a democrat fall guy for when the economic collapse comes. Unfortunately, if I am right, Trump has put a dent in their plans.

I think they wanted to make the crash happen with Hillary Clinton in office. I would. That is EXACTLY what I would do. Run Jeb Bush, is there even one person in this country would vote for him for President ? If you ever find one, take a picture. I will caption it...

he republicans are right on one thing, people who can't or won't get an ID probably shouldn't be voting. For one, you need an ID to get welfare. But what they don't realize is requiring ID might cost them as many voters or maybe more.

I am starting to think we should export all their jobs. That's right. erase all laws and start with the Constitution to be upheld to the letter and hire Chinese to run the government. You jnow they execute people who take bribes there. Well there's 535 less pensions to pay out, so they saved us a bunch of money on the first day. Boom.

Ask what is a true American ? You might as well ask what is a real Man. A real Man has compassion, strength and courage. To be honest, I am getting low on all three.

And real leaders are actually servants, considering themselves responsible for the well being of those they lead/serve. Somewhat like a Parent. You have to be up to making the right decisions, and make decision in the best interest of the People, not your fucking rich friends.

We can't seem to get any of that these days.

T^T

The Republican primaries were too crowded, with a smaller field I don't think we would be stuck with Trump, and the Democrats that we would get Clinton regardless of who we actually wanted. Thus each party is running thier worst person to be president.

I tried to snip the long part of the quote. We'll see.

Anyway, what the system seems to do is throw people to the wayside when they don't have name, or "brand" recognition. If you remember right, nobody heard of Barack Obama until he got on the Oprah Winfrey show. In effect it could be said that she made him President, but that wouldn't be quite right. But if not for her he would most likely still be a senator now. Nobody smart contests that the exposure she gave him was practically priceless.

Now who is choosing our Presidents ? Some broad with a talk show ?

You know it, but I mean, how do we change it ?

It didn't do him any harm, but he was getting talked up by elements of the leftist press before Oprah Winfrey started bigging him up. The New Statesman, Grauniad and Indie were very taken with his performance as a Senator, until he took a better job and demonstrated that he was a spineless idiot who was more interested in trying to appease the Republicans than achieving stuff he'd promised.

Voters who know what is going on, and care.

There are people to vote for, but more and more the voters only vote for flash and what they are told will be free stuff.
And they don't understand that everything the government takes care of for them give the government that much more control of them.

Awareness -> RE: True American ? What is a 'true' American ? (5/29/2016 11:46:32 AM)

A True American is just like a True Scotsman or a True Feminist.

When someone makes a claim which they contend applies universally and is then confronted with an example which torpedoes their claim, they then resort to the No True Scotsman or - in Peon's case - the No True Feminist fallacy.

For example, Peon contends that feminists universally believe in equality of the sexes and advocate such.

When confronted with examples of how feminists advocate for advantages for women without corresponding acceptance of responsibilities (or in some cases just plain gender-based advantage), Peon resorts to the No True Scotsman fallacy by saying that no "true" feminist behaves in such a way.

Or, in Peon's vernacular, "those people aren't feminists".

It's one of the most basic, glaring examples of a logical fallacy and makes a complete mockery of his claims to educational competence - particularly in PolSci which absolutely requires the ability to reason.

Or, at least - it did at one point. I get the impression standards have slipped.

In any case, references to "True American" or its inverse, "unamerican" are merely rhetorical tools for manipulating a dialogue. They have no validity whatsoever. None.

And anyone who contends otherwise is a fucking moron.

They do, or they're not feminists, Awareness. Per the standard definition of feminism, which is available on websites all over the net.

This little issue has *really* made you go a bit deranged, you know. You should call for Nursie!

Being a true American, or feminist or Scotsman is an individual matter.
While I believe in the concept of the "true American" I do not go around lableing people according to that concept.

So you don't see the big perk of defining yourself as a true American is that you get to label anybody who you take a dislike to as an unamerican hater, then?
